I had to crash course myself with all this about a month ago regarding a friend. I talked to a counselor at my school to figure out how to help them, but I think they're better now.

Yes suicide is very selfish, but some people care enough about friends that when the thought of suicide comes to mind no matter how much it may feel like the only option they don't do it cuz they don't wanna hurt those they care about. I know, I went through a really rough time once and that was the ONLY thing that stopped me.

and THAT's why I feel those with his home phone number should be calling it. That link I posted in here? It wasn't supposed to be directly humorous, it was the first thing I thought of. Kid posts a myspace bulletin indirectly referring to offing himself, and it was true.

^^ I don't think any of us even have his home #. I know where he lives, but not the actual address or i would send someone there. I mean, fuck, he's my best friend and I'd anything I could to make sure he's ok but there's very little I can do since I am in Victoria and not Vancouver right now. :(
I've spoken with him today (on msn) but he wouldn't divulge much info.
