I have high hopes to make a name for myself in the scene as a promoter and to bring out some huge talent.
I've done all the work for this night, without the help of the two other guys.
Now I need some posters up and given one of my closest friends 500 posters to put up a week ago.
We're coming closer to the event and he hasnt put up anything. I cant possibly do it myself and if we dont get at least 250 people in there, I have to pay the dj's out of my own pocket.

I sent an e-mail to Josh to see about some flyers. if he's cool, i'll send an order out to second city, they were stupid fast with the turn around, so i could get them on saturday.

whoa whoa whoa....your doing a show on a wednesday night that needs at least 250 people?

are you smoking crack? trying to get 250 people to show up that like techno on a weekend is hard enough let alone mid-week.

next time follow these quick simple instructions to part with your hard earned money.

step 1 - dig hole.

step 2 - put marty's hard earned dollars in said hole.

step 3 - douse marty's hard earned dollars liberally with gasoline. (lighter fluid is a quick easy substitute!)

step 4 - light.

step 5 - dance around said fire naked in jubilation.

step 6 - repeat as required.

Be a little more supportive. Promoting is a learning curve, just like anything else. You really have to test things and figure out what works.

Coming in and telling him hes wasting his time and money isnt helping him.

Live PA can actually get a fairly decent mid-week draw. There's a lot of gearheads that come out just because it's a Live PA. Particularly the type that are LWSD or John/Ricardo fans.

for the most part, you're right..

but that's why i put live pa, no one will come out for techno DJ's, I didnt even put techno dj's.
it's all a mix and Mirka is going to be doing some funky stuff not progressive anymore.
