I would be extemely upset if you decided to take out my ditch cuz my parents live there and I need to steal food/alcohol from them on occasion. As well, i work here so I would probably die as well - and i wouldn't be very happy about that either. I really think this maple ridge bashing is going a bit far... yes the Ditch sucks cuz there isn't a hell of a lot to do there, and yes some of the people here are... well... suburbian hics i guess. But you Vancouver people act as if you grew up in some great metropolis... urban yes - metropolitan no. You're not from New York, not from London, etc. I don't like living there cuz I've lived there all my life and admittedly some of the dumbass mentality gets to me... but it's no different that the mentality of Langley, Abby, Surrey, Delta, etc. and really there are worse places.
