Still there are more canadians on Tampa Bay than there are on even Calgary's team.

take a real close look at that hit it was NOT from behind he hit him shoulder to shoulder if a player is in the process of turning away from a hit and gets hit from behind its his own fault the hit was not dirty it was clean.

hitting anyone who has their head down, in that position, that close to the boards is a serious injury waiting for happen.
don't get me wrong, violence and big hits make hockey go round, but a line has to be drawn.

hits like that look worse then they really are, plus the 2 cutts didnt help, but st louis is a small player and thats what he will have to deal with the rest of his career specially when hes the superstar he is people will always be gunning for him.He didnt follow the #1 rule of puck carrying stay along the fucking boards :) if your 1 or 2 feet away form it your asking to get piled up!! i fucking love big hits :) this one wasnt even close to the biggest in the series though.

hitting anyone that far against the board has consequences.
since i last heard, velocity, solid objects, and people don't get along that great.
i'm sure bratuzzi didn't mean to break moore's neck either. he got lucky.

Rule#3 its doesn't matter if its a wrong call or not, you shouldn't be dumb enough to take the risk of getting a penalty anyways.

At that point in the game you don't take down the other person's players down. clean hit or not. He got called for it, its ference' own fault. Stop sticking up for calgary. Andrew Ference should not have taken the risk of hitting hit that hard to begin with,

If he use a normal hit like they have throughout most of the series on st louis. They would not have been short handed. SIMPLE AS THAT.

No shit eh? You gotta deal with what you get. I remember when the Bertuzzi thing everyone was all trying to defend him, but bottomline is Moore got injured so Bertuzzi took the full penalty and some.

St Louis got cut up and injured, therefore Ference should get nailed. Don't blame it on St Louis's size because all season he hasn't gotten cut up until that hit.

You can even argue of a high stick in there.

What are you talking about??? What kind of a ref calls a penalty with a minute to go in the Finals game 7. That finished it right there. It's not Ference's fault... he was just in the right place to rock the guy. Hockey is not squaredancing ladies. It is a collision sport. Collision is required as a part of the game. Guys get smoked and that's all there is to it.

St. Louis is a little guy, Ference is a big guy... St. Louis just got rocked so hard he split his face open. It wasn't charging because Ference didn't leave his feet, nor was it behind the play. Ferences stick DID NOT make contact with St. Louis' face. His face hit Ferences shouder and fist as he went down. It was a clean hit, one for Don Cherry's next tape for sure, but a clean hit nonetheless.

Damn 2-ref system is ruining the game. Pansies. Give me blood.

first of all i agree with kenji hes an idiot for doin that like don cherry said you dont even think of laying big hits when your down with 10 or less to play, but the actuall hit itself was clean and not a fucking penalty no matter what angle you look at it from it was CLEAN.
