^do you know how hard it is to secure a bed in a drug treatment center?
It took me about 7 months of sitting on a waiting list WITH A COURT ORDER in order to get into a juvenile drug treatment center when i was 14...so that would have been 1998...I can only imagine what its like for adults now seeing as tho how much the government has cut back thier funding in medical,welfare,etc etc etc etc. I didnt say the government forced anyone to drugs. I implied that the government is filled with a bunch of crooked bastards that could really care less about the welfare of people who are living on the poverty line or below it. and if what I say is not true then care to explain to me how these cut backs the government has made...mainly affecting those less fortunate...wanna tell me EXACTLY HOW these cutbacks are helping those people????

and for the record yes...id rather see my taxes go towards helping someone out as opposed to hurting people more.

Well it's not so much a case of the government spending less of our tax dollars on problems like this. If you look at what COPE is doing on the DT Eastside with the 4 pillars approach millions are being invested to try and deal with issues in a pragmatic, compassionate way. The actual problem is that the B.C. Liberals are f**king nut jobs that have been let out of the mental hospital and given control of our government. They have closed down everything from the B.C. Human Rights commision to Women's Centre's around the Province. All the while going on about how great their policies are for the ecconomy. Mean while our unemployment rates and growth are still dismal while we have seen our provincial debt sky rocket under consecutive record defficits.
Oh well we only have to stick it out till April and these guys will be gone. As for Surrey, it's got problems but so does everywhere. Quote:

People are realising they CAN have a HAPPY and LOVING family, without depending on someone for any help. People should live the way they want to live, and they don't need people forecasting the way their family *will* turn out.
