i could go on and on about this topic.. but the argument will always be the same.... its pretty much vinyl vs. cds.... u can say one is better than the other for whatever reasons... but when it comes down to it.. and seriously if anyone agrees otherwise has serious hearing problems... vinyl sounds better... u cannot duplicate that kind of sound on a cd... so if your asking which one sounds better then it is vinyl... but people have other reasons for why they think one or the other is better..... cost.... convienece... availability... ect ect.. i'll always love vinyl no matter what.... |

VINYL!!!
"Manually" cue up tracks for one, as well as "Manually" hold the track.... do that with a cd! What! Ok sure they do have vinyl, cd knockoff turntables! Like you see in Dance 360...but a knockoff isn't da real thing. If CD is such a great format, why would they make CD decks to operate like vinyl turntables? Enough said |

here is a cdj that some doode in the states made that you actually "MANUALLY" cue and "MANUALLY" hold the cd, so HA!
but it does look funnyer then shit personally i really dont give a shit tho. the only thing that matters is what is comming out of the speakers, if you are using cd with shitty quality mp3's then it sounds like shit. the funny think about it, is that very rearly in this city is there a sound system that you can hear much of a difference from a record to a 320k or even 224k mp3 because sound in vancouver clubs are shit! i dont care wheather you are using cd's records, final scratch, scratch live, or whatever, as mateo said there isnt that much talent put into the technical skills of dj'ing unless you have something bigger to offer. scratchin, producing, live PA, fast pace mixing (eg bad boy bill, irene etc.) then you are just a high class jukebox Last edited by normal josh; Jun 13, 05 at 03:54 AM. |
