apparently, he was so upset with the sound at sonar that he said he would never play there again. but that's just a rumour. however, the sound at sonar does suck...i hope they have good sound tomorrow.

Well that he even got him out this far once is amazing considering how much those brits hate leaving their swank soundsystems. Sonar's been decent sound-wise from what I've heard, better than the Town Dump days when rats would eat through the cords...

get an account on nwdnb.bc.ca and go to the mixes forum. There's a load of mixes that you'll prolly like if you're into the dark styles. You'll find mixes from Psidream, pacific, teebee & evl ntnt. don't forget to check out the event forum for upcoming shows.

Evol Intent is the only heavy thing coming up. The show was postponed last Tuesday due to dj Knick having some probs at customs. But rumor has it they're scheduled for September :( which sucks ass, but what can yo do!?

Shamballaa has a pretty crazy line up this year... Ed Rush, Rhyme Time, and Raiden are all on the bill for the d&b stage.

Mechwarrior tommorow at the Met too.. he likes to drop it heavy!! I'll hit that before potd. It's only $3 cover @ the Met.

As for producers i'd like to see come up here: Calyx, Gridlok, Keaton, Hive C4C -- I could go on mang... I'm into my neurofunk, techstep steez atm.

Yeah, I will check out Evol when he comes back. Gridlok would be pretty slick, all his stuff is serial killer soundtrackish. I don't pay attention too well to our local scene cuz it depresses me sometimes but Sham does sound good this year. Hive, Dylan or MysterMason anytime soon would make me visibly moist.

dude, it's a small scene, and all the headz in the scene try to spread the gospel as much as possible. You only get to see how big our scene realy is at big shows imo. If you like rowdy dnb nights check out the met mang. Tuesday's is always off the hook, but I'm sure you know that.

Yeah it's too bad we're considered "out of the way", I lived in Toronto briefly their jungle scene is ridiculous compared to ours. If we could get half the prods that come there or to Seattle out here we'd be set. Haven't been to the met on a Tuesday, work keeps me locked up most of the time.

I wouldn't consider us "out of the way." Vancouver has the opportunity to bring whatever producer to town as long as there is a tour involved, and there's a reasonable date. It's just a matter of who's footing the bill. And so far Automatic is the Don, with the big pockets. w/o Automatic i'd be ripping my eyeballs out from boredom.. or better yet.. prolly move to Seattle.

and to clear something up: Automatic Tuesdays are @ the Lotus and Fixed Fridays are @ The Met.. I should have explained that better,
