rhia- its not worth my time nor effort to have to "research" anything... why should i have to worry about getting into an event that i bought tickets for 2 months ago?.. and i think 10:30 is pretty early to go down to a club.. especially one thats open untill 3 am... my main point here is that its annoying and fusterating for anyone to have to stand in line for a show that was way over sold.. and watch idiot drug dealer/ballers/barstar.. whoever the fuck they are idiots get in past us just cause theyre paying the bouncer to get past the line while everyone else who actually has tickets and actually cares who the dj is gets to stand in line for 2 hours?.. i dont think so... its not my fault the venue changed and it should be the promoters full responsibility to take care of everything that goes along with that..(ie. making sure people who actually have tickets get priority getting in first) ya its not fair.. and ya thats the way things are around here.. like i said... im voicing MY OPINION of the matter which i am fully entitled to...

i liked how i arrived at plaza club at 10:45 and decided to go to commodore at 11..and then got a text from a promoter of the plaza event that i coulda got in the club if i arrived at 11:15-11:30... and that it was my fault.... uh... i had a good laugh when i recieved the text. When i got to plaza club at 10:45 it was total chaos there... there wasnt even a line to go inside, it was a big crowd hovering the door wanting to get in. i can defiantely judge if i would be able to get into a club or not, and with that chaos it was simply not worth hovering around the door.
all good.. i had a great time at commodore, spent less money and got to party with good friends (it was funny to see some cargo die hards at commdore last night too)... it was the boycott sanchez crew. |

we were going to.. even though we shouldnt have to.. and they were asking 50 bucks a person to get in.. are you fucking kidding me?... so 35 bucks a ticket plus another 50 per person to get in?.. i was with 8 people... thats an extra 400 bucks ontop of the cost of our tickets.... riiiiiight. i dont think so.

Keep in mind that there wasn't 1 thing in particular that cause crazy line-ups to happen: - Roger normally pulls 1000 peeps to Plush... this time it was moved to a venue that holds 600 as we wanted things to go to 3AM rather than ending at 12AM. - I posted that the show started at 9PM and Roger was going up at 10:30 (although he ended up starting to play at 11). As a result I advised everyone to get there as early as possible, ticket holders or guest list (which was already at a minimum and we weren't selling tickets at the door). Everyone I advised to be there by/before 10:30PM (which I suggested to Bev and also mentioned that if you wanted me to come and get you, I would have personally done so Venita) did get in. - Cargo/no promoter has control of the door staff (personally) charging $50 a person extra to get in or bypass a line. If I would have seen/heard that, definite words would have been had with club management as frankly that makes us look bad as customers assume that $50 is going to us which it clearly isn't. Case and point - it's a long weekend show that was clearly sold out. Promoters posted info and advised everyone far before the show to be there as early as possible to avoid dealing with the "ballers" that tend to slow the line at the door. This isn't anything new and so no "research" was required. Show up early to avoid problems... it's that simple. Now... I was going to offer to refund your un-used tickets as you were unable to make it in that evening but you scalped them and made some cash. So we're all happy now then aren't we? :-p |

We are simply saying "normally" Sanchez plays for 1000 people when the event is at Plush. This time around he's playing at a smaller venue which means there was even more of a rush at one time to the door then ever before. BTW --part of the reason for the delay at the door is because every single persons drivers license (including my own) was scanned into a computer system that the club has. That in addition to a brief search pat down does add up. This is for club patrons safety and capacity checking. |

not that heather hasn't done a lot in her career, but she would be a "a-list/top dj" whereas sanchez is a legend really. |

Hmm. We did that at Tokyo lounge and the scan maybe took an extra 5-10 seconds. I don't really see people blaming twisted/cargo, I think that every paying customer has the right to bitch, especially seeing as how the venue chosen is run by shady bouncers that are just giving paying ticket holders the shaft (and trust me, promoters want everyone to be buying tickets well in advance, from what I see, Ven didn't earn much by getting her tickets well in advance and that's a shame!). requesting anything over a 20 in vancouver is funny seeing as how we're not quite like LA where they have exclusive clubs with an exclusive clientele. |

cubed is the manager of the plaza, is he not? therefore shouldn't you be complaining to him since technically the bouncers and door staff are under his supervision? |

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that your post saying that this person is harping on twisted/cargo and that everyone does that if one thing goes wrong is a little off, that's all. Like I said, as a paying customer, Venita has every right to bitch, she's not jumping on a bandwagon, anyone in this situation would be pissed. To clarify, Cubed is the manager of promotions and the door staff are not under his supervision. |
