chumps like rochesterss are essential to the success of any real hiphop performer.

the only way they cant relate to REAL hiphop is buy throwing all their parents' money at the merchandise that keeps real hiphop heads afloat.

there is always room for chumps in the music business, if the chumps got bucks he's in luck. but know your role bitch, thats all you are is consumer.

That uncle tom dude brought up the subject so I answered him. Probably cuz I dissed that Sean guy but he was asking for it.

I mean I wear urban/hip hop clothes because I'm part of the culture and I like the way they look. You can dress like an emo and still be part of the culture I guess.

But not knowing about timbs, tommy hill, north face, guess, etc = auto exposure/new jack status
how about knowing about that shit and choosing not to wear it because you know you'll look like just another wack ass wannabe white kid from the suburbs

This thread has hit an all time high with Mr. Spex himself calling rochester out.

Bambaataa would open your eyes to a world that would make your head explode. Probably one of the most multi-dimensional players ever.

I blame mtv and much music... I love it how these kids pop out of no where and think they are from the "hood" and think they know the in's and out's of hip-hop by watching and/or immitating anything and everything they see on tv. Essentially its a mask that they wear since they are insecure or immature. But one day that attitude is going to get them hurt real bad... maybe even killed.

Maybe he should try and bring the Kriss Kross fad back by wearing his clothes backwards.... Yeah... That'll bring hip hop back.... Or maybe try and mumble the lyrics from N.W.A 's "Straight Outta Compton".

its people like him that turned me away from hip hop at a younger age i think.

rochesterss let me ask you one thing. where do you picture yourself when you are 55 years old? will you still be 'reppin hip hop?'
one way you can always tell if your passion and your cause is legit is if you can see yourself passionate about it in 30 or 40 years.

Who are you trying to fool? You think you can awe everyone with your fucking time-line thru hip-hop like your some sort of apostle of what, your cd collection?

oh and this half-spic called me an uncle tom? pinche mamon! soy latino 100%. even in your own culture you still don't belong. payaso.

brief appologies for calling you a half-spic. 'Cause it's coming from soneone who should be the one giving you respect for that. But I mean, you brought it on yourself. you can't just start shit and expect nothing. you stir the shit, you get shit stew. you're still a clown tho. a full clown.

Please try not to contradict yourself in the same post, otherwise it becomes harder to mock your stance since I'm not sure what you are trying to say.

Its funny none of you f4ggots realized I wasn't talking about just clothing. I don't think you can name an artist from the early-mid 90's in new york that didn't mention either tommy hill, north face, timbs, polo, etc. in their songs. lol @ the idiots saying "hip hop isn't about fashion". Tell that to Wu, mobb deep, nas, jay, DITC (for all you fnk f4ggots). If you don't know about those brands then you never listened to 90's east coast hip hop. And that my friends, is why you're all a bunch of new jacks.

they got paid to say that in their lyrics because marketers knew clowns like you would buy their clothes inorder to improve their self esteem and fit in.

This song actually rocks on so many levels, and is in no way "wack" at all, but HOCUS POCUS and The Procussions said it best:

Only put the video ID in between the BB code tags, NOT the full URL!

"You must be out of ya mind,
If you think the way you dress will serve to help the away you rhyme
Some people put their image first then self gets left behind
So when you search within the verse it's best that you be blind
Your remarkably designed your equal is hard to find
If your unsatisfied take it up with the divine
Cus we don't go the time.. and if you go to me
I'll say your better off just being who you supposed to be"

Oh how I love you Mr. Medeiros

You actually believe that you boiled ham face looking f4ggot.

This was back in '93-'95. You think these big corporations are paying a broke rapper from Queensbridge named Nasir Jones to shout out their clothing brands in his underground album called Illmatic.

Rap wasn't the massive money it is today. None of these companies gave a fukk about rappers mentioning their brands. And they damn sure weren't paying them.

1) You're seriously fucking stupid.
2) Stop making shit up because you'll get called on it. Not once on illmatic does Nas mention "Tommy" or "Hilfiger". If you actually believe that he does then cite me a lyric fag.
