Lush has a spectacular aura aboutLush has a spectacular aura aboutLush has a spectacular aura about
I'd like to add these songs to my list:
Murs - a friends blues
Cannibal Ox - the f word
Cannibal Ox - painkillers
Mos Def - Umi Says (The zero 7 remix of this is AMAZING)
Atmosphere - Cuando Limpia el Humo (I think that's the entire title)

Cannibal Ox is super innovative with beats, I remember first hearing them on a late night radio show and they were talking about how a lot of their music is influenced by Japanese anime type music/sounds.

CVE - Filet of soul (I think that's what it was called.. that fish and chips song) has a really sick beat as well.

One of the guys i work with is a big hip hop head from penticton....so we always end up listening to blackalicious etc. when we work....he's also a born again christian, and alot of his hip hop is considered "christian", but the thing is , it doesn't suck. One guy in particualr is called "red cloud" .....one of my favorites now. Check it out.

first of all let me just say that im not a christian.
i recently heard an album sampler for this cd by Soul Plasma. the lyrics were good but the production was standout. hes a christian mc but im not gonna avoid it just cause of that (thats something balis would do). tracked it down, impressed to say the least, and he doesnt preach. a lot of people probably wouldnt even notice any religious references. one of the tracks even reminded me of stoupes (producer for jedi mind tricks) work; mostly to do with the sample in the chorus/dark mood with a female vocal. .... never thought id be listening to christian music.

HEY YOU! put down your bible and get this disc.

Isn't all the production on The Cold Vein by El-P? If I'm not mistaken. Good album tho
