Oh lordy. All my friends and I are SO FUCKING STOKED. Start drinking at 9 am, move onto the beer gardens, eventually stumble over to the concert itself, meet up with the whole crew, go to a house party or go to the Pit. Last year we started drinking at 9 am and didn't stop til 1 am - GONG SHOW. Who cares if the bands suck, it's the last day of classes and if that's not an excuse to get retarded I don't know what is.

I'm curious... every year, people complain that the bands at Arts County Fair are awful and not worth seeing.

So who WOULD you like to see play?

Of course there are going to be people that complain about the bands sucking. It's hard to cater to the musical tastes of 15,000 people. Looking at the lineups over the past few years, I think the UBC student union does a pretty good job of booking talent of all genres.
Another thing that makes it tough about having some bands is how people 15,000 DRUNKASS people will react to their music. If you have someone playing that has potential to get the crowd really worked up, who knows what could happen (ie Limp Bizkit @ Woodstock 99).
Either way, there's usually one act that I look forward to seeing each year. But I never remember seeing them anyway :284:

Honestly, ACF is not about the music for me, so there's no one I'd like to see at that one specific event. The fair itself is incidental to the beauty of the day, it's all about drunken revelry that another year is over, seeing ridiculous amounts of people you know, hopping from party to party, and beer garden to beer garden, and just having a good time.

The ACF website says $20 at the door. I doubt it'll sell out or anything. But you can also do the willcall thing through ticketmaster.
