Hey Cheerios - the answer to your question is ABSOLUTELY. I should be announcing the line-up next week along with full details on the venue that is in downtown Vancouver and fully transit accessible. I guarantee you we are going to have one of the best vibes at a Spooky ever simply because of the setup we are looking at doing. I want to say more, but I can't other than you will be impressed come next week!

On top of that, "from a raver's point of view" I'd rather go to a party that is being thrown by a company that has shown a committment to our local scene for almost 10 years.

Here, here! Stick w/ Spooky not because its tradition but because the organizers behind it are COMMITTED. Key word. Committed not just to making money and avoiding a loss, but also to providing an awesome show by creating a great vibe and bringing out awesome talent for the masses.

Thanks for saying this bro... I want to add that although Spooky has become a tradition (9 years running now) that's not just the reason to go. Solid and it's followers could have the argument that they will be "offering something new" which would be better that "the same old tradition."

The reality is though, that Spooky this year will be a lot different (in a good way) than in past... Not to say that our previous Spooky's weren't great. With the Plaza gone, and the Colesium occupied, Twisted and Swing Kids has had to get creative and do something new... which is kinda breaking that tradition!

Thanks goes out to all of you loyal supporters out there of not only us as companies (Twisted and Swing Kids), but ultimately what are trying to do and have been doing for the scene for over 10 years (in Salim's case).

Ok dude, seriously. If you really cared about your party, you wouldn't be throwing out comments like this. You are abusing your involvement with Solid Corp and you are taking your *own* words and using them to represent the entire company on a promotional message board. That's SO unfair to do to those in charge of your event, who are trusting you to promote Doom's Night positively to the Vancouver scene. I'm just not buying that the heads of Solid could post this kind of stuff, especially on FNK. Do you see anyone posting this kind of tasteless garbage towards your party? Nobody would, because it's unnecessary and you would be completely outraged. The negative response you're going to get now, is people taking your representation of Solid Corp, and thinking that it's the opinion of ALL of Solid Corp. This assessment that this may be the shared opinion of all of solid corp may not be far from the truth. Dunno about anyone else, but when I first saw the Doom's Night preflyers, one phrase came to mind...Cash Grab. Hopefully I'm wrong and Dooms Night truly will be as sick as IMF was last year and not a below average show like Insomnia was this year, but without cutting corners this time. Don't get me wrong, I love Solid shows But little things keep sticking in my mind from previous parties Solid has done like charging people $80 for VIP tix and then not bothering to prepare a VIP area at the party or more importantly neglecting to pay some of the locals. things like this make me wonder about how much bang for my buck I'm getting and whose pockets that money is ending up in and ya, I probably will be at dooms night (we'll see) but I sure as hell won't get VIP tix again

I didnt bash anything about Twisted and/or Solid.
It was plain share of tought...
I dont know how suddenly me being a total Solid Event Promoter came into play WHEN ive sold my share of tickets for Twisted parties aswell...
I just stated anything that has been announced to date...ive attened spooky once becuase the past years I just wasnt in the mood for raving.
Its a tradition which I do agree on... they have been within the scene for almost 10 solid years, props to that btw, but simply saying from a persons point of view... look at whats been handed to convince people (note allot of which are NON party people just looking for a good time...)
If anything im promoting both comapnys with that one post by telling people to resell the ticket if theyre not satisfied with the likes of the party, if anything its a neutral comment. Also its only a message board (I dont know how this post is Promotional...from what I know the only Promotional posts are the official posts under the Events threads)... A message board is a message board, one may post their opinion, its a free post as I look at it for posting (as I see this thread, its a neutral thread where I decided to say something that wasnt too relevant with the Subject) its not like I go on the Twisted threads and praise Solid parties... if anything I probably have given in a comment or 2 about the party... (if not well if because I simply havnt really had the time to read though several pages of posts :p)
I will be attending both parties, becuase I am not completely supporting just one company, but 2. So Kraig, as a Twisted represenative, you shouldnt be posting up stuff like that gives other represenatives of other companys that I and others are affilated with a bad outlook onto you as a person, because ive never had a problem with you or any company or anyone in general. As a dj spinning at Doomsnight I will promote the event cause I like to see peopel going off...you as a dj know that feeling as well. No beef, just fun times...the above was just stating my postion and why this post I will not edit cause i am simply not afraid as a person to express what one has to say...
other than that... Halloween weekend will be one that you wont forget.
