HELP!! Need an iPOD doctor!

Worked fine last night... no problems at all.

Now the screen is completely blank and it won't even show as charging if it's plugged into the wall! Did this thing just turn into a very expensive paper weight?

have you tried resetting it?

mine freezes sometimes when i try to do too much at once. i'm too much for my ipod to handle.

annnyways, a reset usually puts it back in it's place and it works fine.

resetting it is simple.. put it between two very large magnets, and submerge it in hot cocoa. mmm. cocoa.

my shuffle kicked the bucket. the on button doesnt work. the light comes on when its charging but as soon as i disconnect it from the comp it wont start. if you find somehwer to send them (ipod heaven, or hell for that matter) let me know

i do it by pressing the menu and play button at the same time for a few seconds. mine is 3g without the clickwheel, and i'm not sure if it's the same thing for all models. worth a try though.

Yeah my shuffle is already starting to fail, well at least the ear phones are and sometimes it lags... is it just me or do IPODS seem to just stop working after a certain amount of time and it's after the warrenty... and then MAC is like, ah screw you...

I guess that's what happens when everyone buys it.

wierd mine as never done that.
mine as never froze either.

i got mine in summer 2004 its a 15gb. worth every penny.

HURRAH! I'm glad it worked :)

Mine freezes every so often, but it really is no big deal. A quick reset and I'm good to go (and you don't lose your music with the reset or anything like some people seem to think.)

I bought mine in '04 and I have had no problems with it. I swear, this thing is indestructible. It even took out a full sized altoids tin! In the end, the tin was wrecked, my ass was bruised, but the ipod worked as always. :P

my ipod freezes from time to time.. mainly after i drop it on cement a couple times, then it usually goes all funky.. but resetting it always seems to fix it..

after 2 years of having it i should seriously consider investing in some padding

if you reset it from the unit it self you do not loose your music.

if you reset it from your computer you will loose you music.
