So I recently just booked a trip to Europe with Contiki tours. I was just wondering if anyone eles has takin a trip with this group before, to any of their destinations? What were you reactions, expectaions experiences?
I was told this was the best option for heading out by myself and my age.

omg.....you couldn't have chosen anything better! my girlfriend took one of their tours 'cause she was travelling alone and had the f'in time of her life. she said the tour leaders are young.....like late twenties kinda thing. and even they party. and you meet soooooo many other people travelling still. she went through london and all around there and then down to the greek islands(her favourite stop by far)!

haha, i don't even know you and i'm excited for you........she still talks about it all the time and it was almost 2 years ago.

myslef ive never doen a tour...ive always backpacked solo and independant but im adventourous like that..

heard nothing but good things about tours from the type of people who take them.

personally i would rather backpack.. you have the freedom to do what you want , when you want , where you want , with who you want.. what more can you ask for.

Well i would love to back pack but the fact that i will be heading out alone to europe is enough. I am scared to be in london for 3 days by myself b4 the trip leave as it is:073:

And I will be heading to the greek islands as well all of the cool beach activites they are offering me is getting me stocked. just leaving me kindof annoyed in that it takes me so long to get to sleep with my mind going 100 miles an hour.

i felt the same way when i went to thailand.. getting there was not a problem.. collecting luggage was fine.. But then came the point where i had all my stuff but i didnt know what to do next. It was kinda freaky and scared me a little. Even though i had a hotel booked for the first night i still had to find a cab, explain to him where my hotel was. The next day was the same thing.. I had absolutly no plans on what i needed to do.. In a way i kinda felt helpless and vulnerable. After a few weeks everything was great. Some days it was almost like i had lived there for a long time. I was sad when i had to leave. Oh well i geuss ill have to go back..


oh yea..... anyways.. have a great time on your trip... take lots of video clips with your digi cam if you can. Having little clips from my trip is awesome, a picture is worth a 1000 words but a short movie is worth a 1000 more..

hun thats what i did last summer and i gotta say i wasn't sure what i would think of it, but man i fucking LOVED it. best way to go first over by yourself

which one are you doing?

i did the shortest tour around london, amsterdam, switzerland, italy, germany paris thru austria and somewhere else...haha

it was great, gave me a good lil taste of places, drunk every night, lots of time on the bus for that one, but lots of time to get to know people

the tour managers and drivers are AWESOME, 98% of them are from new zeland.

you can always stray from your group and meet up with them a few days later wherever they are.
