Anyway, I've been chatting with this Chinese woman from Perth for about two months now.

After talking her for that long I realize that overanalysis and introspectiveness is obviously part of the Asian psyche.

She's obsessed about being fat, but being 5-2 and 135 is not fat if most of that is leg muscles -- think Christie Yamaguchi. As well, she eats very well, very light, no fast food.

She's also heard the biological clock go off: she's 32, and trolling the dating websites of Oz looking for a respectable man, hopefully Asian but she is assimilated enough not to retrict herself.

She had one guy string her along a little, but his story about the ex was sketchy. "You got dumped and now you found Jesus?" Sigh... obviously an ex-Catholic who's been brainwashed by evangelicals.

Anyway, we got to chatting one night, and I confessed my attraction to her, and on her coaxing I described her dream vacation when she retires 33 yrs from now. she visits all her AA guy friends with vancouver last on the list.

I tried to avoid giving any of the usual grotty details of the typical schoolboy fantasy since that's for the kids. Mature relationships usually need an air of mystery, ok?

Does anyone have Asian friends who are never gonna get laid and/or married?

The only problem is this:


if a woman is disclosing her weight and height to someone on the internet, it is likely that you should leave room for +15 pounds standard "error". She's probably more like 5'2 and 149 pounds. Not that it matters either way :P but women and weight is a touchy issue.

Normally people's emotions are perceptions are complex, and can't generally be group based on ethnic background and gender. It's more of a case of getting to know the person, and learning from that. However from my experience Chinese girls love it when you group them and their thoughts based on ethnic background.
