i don't envy the subclinical psychopaths among us, because they are slow learners when it comes to compassion and love.

They're the con men like Christophe Rocancourt, and they're the stockbrokers and promoters who caused Forbes magazine to call the Vancouver Stock Exchange (now part of the Canadian Venture Exchange) the scam capital of the world. (Hare has said that if he couldn't study psychopaths in prisons, the Vancouver Stock Exchange would have been his second choice.) A significant proportion of persistent wife beaters, and people who have unprotected sex despite carrying the AIDS virus, are psychopaths. Psychopaths can be found in legislatures, hospitals, and used-car lots. They're your neighbour, your boss, and your blind date. Because they have no conscience, they're natural predators. If you didn't have a conscience, you'd be one too.

Psychopaths love chaos and hate rules, so they're comfortable in the fast-moving modern corporation. Dr. Paul Babiak, an industrial-organizational psychologist based near New York City, is in the process of writing a book with Bob Hare called When Psychopaths Go to Work: Cons, Bullies and the Puppetmaster. if they are from the lower classes, they are called sociopaths and tend to be dumb enough to get caught.

if they are from the higher classes, they are called psychopaths and tend to blame others for their crimes i.e. Mulroney.

but the subclinical psychopaths tend to be well educated and range from campbell to david cunningham.

i also will add that certain CEOs of certain ISPs are psychopaths when they let spammers and even racists run hate websites.

as well, i would say that the decisionmakers behind ISPs that allowed Serbian hate pogroms to be run from pro-Serbian websites prior to the second Yugoslav war circa 1999 also were psychopathic since it led to deaths of Kosovo Albanians.

the lies both the UK and US participated in to precipitate the Iraq war is also a form of psychopathy. However, it is debateable if a nation can be psychopathic because if the nation is nuts, then the country is the nuthouse.

IMHO I feel that the paparazzi that took advantage of Britney Spears just to sell photos of her is subclinically psychopathic because he lied to her, as did her ex manager.

Ditto for the various drug dealers who supplied her drugs.

Edit: and quite possibly any man who took advantage of a bipolar woman and dumped her just cos she wouldn't take her meds etc. is subclinically psychopathic unless he actually cried when he realized he couldn't handle having been hurt by her once again and was briefly hospitalized for depression.
