Why Not?

I've been thinking a lot lately about life...

We are given a life. We choose how we live it.

I look around, and often I see people living their lives daily at 9-5 jobs, struggling, completely discontent.

Then I ask myself why?

It's been a dream of mine to run off to Australia, open a surf board shack on the beach, be with somebody that I love, and live my life day to day. Less worries, nothing materialistic...even if I have weeks when I have to starve a bit...I think that I'd be a lot happier than I would be in a more "normal" life.

People think I'm crazy when I tell them about this dream, because I am actually serious about it.

But then I look around, and again, all I see is struggle, pain, strife, sadness...

Then I ask myself why not?

hmm..y'know Erica? Go for your dream! when you get a chance... it sounds nice.. =) and I don't think your crazy for dreaming summin like that... everyone has dif dreams... as long as your happy right?

i'd say go for your dreams, whatever they may be. cuz when else are you gonna get a chance to live em?

heh.. my dream.. is 2 be on iron chef.. haha =P (ya stop laughing ppl..hehe) i remember i was talking with my friend bout this all once.. hehe oh my we have like the same dream.. after high school take a bartender course.. be a bartender while going to chef school..open a restaurant and make it on iron chef! *teehee* and we've now decided we're gonna make our own version of iron chef.. we'll be the iron chefettes! hehe (oh ya i know your all laughin real hard now..haha) with out kitchens made entirely of stainless steel.. ahh *droolz* hehe k anywayz..

haha but when i make it big time as a chef..hehe i'll make a trip down to australia and make sure i stop by your surf shop! hehe

ya that's another dream of mine..to travel all around the world.. across europe (mostly germany...cuz i'm half german.. i'd love to go their) and to japan.. and australia... and the caribbean.. and the jungles of brazil..ahh.. it'd be fun...hehe

and i'm getting totally off topic now..hehe

my dream is to move to some remote island in the carribean...kinda like that little colony in the movie "the beach". minus all the bad shit of course.

but in order for me to fulfill that dream, i'll need money to get by, and in order for me to get money, i'll need to get a job, which then places me back where i started...

first off follow ur dreams....but don't forget that those ppl who seem to struggle don't struggle all the time...they are obviously working hard to help and provide for the people they love around them....they also have vacations retirement....lots of times when I'm sure they are absolutely content with life....
