seeing a friend crying on the cover of the national post

Im sure you all heard about the avalanche that killed those 7 kids... well i played baseball with one of them (Daniel Arato). His older brother (Tom) was on my team and Dan would come and play with us when we didnt have enough people. The kid was only 15, and he was one of the nicest kids ive ever met... I feel so awful right now

Tom was on the cover of the national post today in tears, thats got to be one of the hardest pictures ive ever had to look at. He wasnt a best friend or anything, but i knew him pretty well, we were on the same team for a few years and we go to be pretty good friends. No one should have to face what those families are going through right now... Im mean can you imagine having to speak at your little brothers funeral??

That's horrible. What I Don't understand is why those children were alowed in the area of the last avalanche?
Losing a brother/son has to be one of the hardest things ever, but the fact that it could have been avoided (from what I heard about the situation at least) has to make it even harder.
I really hope the media doesn't give them a really hard time.

i m sorry to hear about your friend..... i lost a friend last year too and it was hard to see his face on the cover of the newspapers for the next couple weeks, it got better when pics of my friends in hysterics were bpublished and even me.... that just made my day even better.... and come to think of it he went to private school to and i dont think that should change anyhting

forgettable- cant believe how negitive you are man, there are some amazing things in life you are going to miss out on, because of what? the act you put on? nobody is that angry unless they choose to be, everything you do is a choice. the glass is half full dude, and life is for the living, enjoy it while your alive, cuz your gonna be dead forever... events like these remind us that life is precious and all too short.

I Have never lost n e one who was REALLY close to me and i'm not to sure how i would handle it. But this summer a person that i went to school with since grade 6 was swimming up at elks falls (a big river waterfall thingere where i live) and he wasnt the best swimmer and he got taken off with the current. I wasnt super close to him we just used to make fun of eachother all the time. Then one day he was gone... its pretty rough and i know what its like *hugs* but remember... (this has gotten me through some rough times) EVEYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON and trust me i know that lots of times u think what good will come out of this, but even if u dont know at the time, a few years later u'll look back and understand...... but i know its still super shitty right now!

If you were happy go lucky with an optimistic view, you would realize that this isnt a topic to fucking joke about.
