Friends you lack interest in...
Ok so I've had all these friends for years and I just completely stopped hanging around with them because all they do is go clubbing. These are the friends I value but they won't try anything new, the only thing's they want to do is go bowling, play pool, listen to some top 40 hip-hop at Atlantis and go watch a movie, then maybe some karaoke.. We've done all these thing's hundreds of times and yet they still repeat the same process time and time again.. I've tryed talking them into trying new stuff but there alway's like, "oh what's that? naw I'm gonna go clubbing"
What can I do? I don't want to lose these friends but I haven't seen them for 3 months cause I can't stand the repetition anymore. |

have sex with their girlfriends :)
it gets their attention everytime.... In all seriousness, I think we all have these friends (although mine don't kareoke) Try attacking them one at a time rather then trying to get the whole group to try something new. If they are your friends I am sure they will be willing to try something new even if for only one night - And you may just have to accept that what they are doing now is all they want to do, and that nothing else is appealing to them - they can be your daytime friends until that phase ends or until your re-discover your inner bar star :) |

I kinda know what you mean my friends always wanna do the same shit all the time. It's bin like that for a while now and it's starting to drive me out of my mind. I'm so sick of being in the same place around the same people for so long it's makeing me depressed. I need out.

my friends tend to all do different things, i couldnt have it any other way. i enjoy the fact that some of my friends are mundane and i get to do mundane things with them, and other friends are crazy and i can be crazy with them, or they are complete assholes and i can hate the world with them. i have found though that my friends that havent i guess "grown up" past highschool i don tend to see that much, just talk every so often.
just remember you dont need those friends, plenty of other people to be your friends. i just lost\removed my self from 2 friends ive has since i was six, was sad for about a day then realized that they didnt respect me as much as i thought they did. also respect that youre friends find what they do as fun, im sure they respect your choices. crap i feel like an after school specail. |

if they are your good friends they should be willing to do something different with you.
and if not then hang out with people who have similar interest and then go back to your other friends... when it comes down to it it really should matter what your doing (within reason) as long as your spending time together right? |

it sucks, and it hurts seeing them all the time as well.. and then you come to a point where you realize it's just time to let go. even as much as you don't want to, sometimes it's best. you usually aren't parting on bad terms this way either, so if things ever change, you never know.. you could be good friends later on. but at this point, there's nothing there anymore. it's hard letting go sometimes, but that's what needs to be done at times.. |
