3 years work and a can of rootbeer
i just spilled a can of rootbeer on a book i've been working on for over 3 years now... there's only 3 or 4 people on the face of the earth who know this book exists, so i doubt that too many people here will understand how sentimental this book is to me. but i'm sure you can relate to what i'm feelin' right now... it's not destroyed or anything, but i'm such a neat freak when it comes to my work. 3 years, and a million cups of coffee. NO PROBLEMS! then 1 day and 1 fucking can of rootbeer! kasplat! barq's really does have bite. NO it's not even barq's, it's fucking president's choice. i mean, when the waitress at boston pizza spilled clamato juice on my kenneth cole shirt, she at least had the decency to use MOTT'S CLAMATO JUICE. but this fucking can of rootbeer couldn't even be barq's!?!
this is fucking retarded. i don't even know how to get angry anymore. i want to cry or get upset, but i forgot how to do that too... i wish i had emotions right now... this book really means a lot to me. oh well, they kinda look like coffee stains, and that's kinda artsy right? but it's just not the same............ |

I too am a keeper of semi-secret writing and believe that this event is likely a sign from the writing higher powers that you need to take a new angle or something like that
when the stains dry they will add character - you'll see there will be some purpose evenif it is only to illict anger from you every now and again anger that is understood by no one but you is exactly what you need.... |

I think you need to get in the "Bobsled" position more often..
but in seriousness, it sucks that you spilt on your pride and joy and ruined the perfect cover, yet you should find pride in knowing this book lasted 3 years unscathed, I personally can't own a shirt for over an hour without some how staining it.. kudos to you on your cleanliness.. and be joyous that you can still have this work of art to hold.. it could of been destroyed and wouldn't that of been much, much worse? |

true true...
but i pride myself in being able to say that i can keep things like these in such great shape after so many years... i know most other people don't give a shit whether or not it's in perfect condition or not, but it keeps me fulfilled as a person knowing that i'm a nit picky tidy bitch. oh well, back to bobsledding.... |
