^ Did you say uberknown?

If you haven't gone through it before it can be hard to tell if you're depressed, because you haven't previously identified the feeling.. Talk to someone, if you can. Even talking to a complete stranger can help, it can be a lot easier than telling your friends how you feel for the simple fact that you won't have to feel weird around them after or have the fact that they 'don't understand' or whatnot change your relationship with them.

You gotta let it out, or else it gets worse.. Best of luck to you.

GO TO MENTAL HEALTH AND TAKE THE DEPRESSION QUIZ!!! :toasted: :284: thats what I had to do but as soon as they find out you are depressed they jack u up on drugs which 99% of the time dont help only make u worse by either:keeping u up 24-7 or making u a complete zombie. I still have some of my sedatives they prescribed me for when I was depressed and man do those things ever come in handy on sketchy days :)

But you know what if u work out it increases production of serotonin in yer brain and then u feel betta! so do something physical dood.

good luck

*STARFISH* is on a distinguished road
if youre really concerned about being depressed
go talk to your family doctor
but i agree with godessa too...
if its not a problem.. and youre just slightly worried about it
you should go out and exercise
have alot of sex
if you do drugs lay off of them
that should help your mood.
if it doesnt and you feel worse..
you could have a chemical imbalance in your brain thats causing the depression
in which case i would definately recommend seeing your doctor.

I'd recommend going to a local library and picking up a copy of the diagnostic statistical manual of mental disorders IV. it's got a list of mental disorders that psychologists and psychiatrists refer to help diagnose patients. you can look at the various mood disorders (major depression, bipolar, dysthymic disorder, etc) and it will tell you a list of criteria that may give you an idea as to whether or not you would be considered "clinically depressed".

Heh. Practically 75% of the population, if not more, is SOMEWHERE in that manual. =)

I'd say talk to a therapist. If you go to school, this is what guidance counsellors are for. If you're in uni, there's usually student therapy available for free.

Give it a try. You never know. You need a medical expert to clinically diagnose you as depressed but it never really hurts to talk.
