Getting rid of a tummy...

What's the best way?

One kinda snuck up on me and I wanna get rid of it. No need for "tummy's are cute" comments or asking if it has to do with what soceity thinks of my body. I just don't like having a tummy... for my own personal reasons.

I'm thinking it's most likely to do with my recent switch in birth control pills and the fact that I've been eating more pasta lately.

Any pointers on how to nick my tummy problem would be greatly appreciated... thanx much lots!

yes - a longer thinner mirror

although i doubt you have any tummy issues (I really REALLY doubt that you do :) )

drink lots of water to get rid of any bloat - remember there is no such thing as spot reduction, so those who tell you crunches are the way are lying

and just get yourself moving

running.

the best way to trim up all over is running, and if you arent a runner jump in the pool and do some laps, or hit up a bike.
cardio rocks for trimming up, the only thing is that you have to stick to it.
once you start though, its hard to stop, its a great natural drug, and if you do stop you miss it alot.

Well as I loathe running... I have no bike... I'm scared of the water... and I don't have the $$ to join a gym I think it'll be a healthy diet, various different types of tummy crunches and more dates outside to walk n such.

what i'm doing about it is situps. i did 135 last night, which beat my last workout by 35 situps. next workout is saturday, i'm giving myself two days between workouts to let myself heal. it seems to be working.

get a work out buddy.. they help!

I hear ya cerah

I've been in the Subway diet for months now and haven;t lost a pound. In fact, I think I'm gaining weight. I don't get it. I have no money and I'm basically homeless but I keep gaining weight. I figure I must be eating my fake hair in my sleep or something.

I think I'll pass on the ephedrine filled diet pills.

Diet pills are fucking gross and REALLY bad for your body.

I might as well just become a crackhead again.

i used to do massive amounts of crunches in all their variety while i wrestled and played water-polo, and i never lost weight.
then i got sick and lost weight.... then i got better, and in this summer started pakcin it back on so i started running, and i could feel and see improvements... then school started and i have no time for exercise and its hard to eat right.
... and believe me in the beginning i hated running, but as i pushed myself more and more, it felt better and better to a point where i felt a bit cranky if i didnt do it.
walking is just as good. hit up some of the beautiful trails our city\province has to offer.

how long do you guys suggest running for? I just quit smoking like 3 months ago, and have been gaining weight ever since. Does pasta really affect weight gain? Cause I eat spaghetti like 3-5 times a week haha!

Pasta is full of carbohydrates which are really good for you if you do a lot of excercise because they give you energy but if you just eat gobs of pasta and sit around all day it turns into fat.

^ yea nothing beats running for a tight tummy!
biking isn't bad either, i normaly do 1 min high/2 min low intensity intervals on the bike...it really works the lower abs!

doing sit ups alone won't work, you gotta throw another exercise in there

there's nothing wrong with eating carbs/pasta, just don't overeat.

....it's easy to stuff yourself on carbs, cause you don't start feeling full till a couple mins after your meal.

i only run bout 30 mins a week, but i also do other cardio kinda stuff....but i'm also still a chubster so i shouldn't say anything

try lifting weights, it really helps with loosing weight...muscle burns fat

muscle does not burn fat.

in fact, you can have a rock-hard stomach under a huge layer of fat.

having more muscle mass can increase metabolism so it can indirectly help burn fat faster though.

I do 100 pilates sit ups, with some regular abdominal crunches including the obliques. :c-tard:

Gotta work all areas of the abs, or you get the bulge growing somewhere else.
