When ONE thing goes bad...

it seems that EVERYTHING ELSE in my life seems to become sour as well....it's like a chain reaction that just keeps kicking me while I'm down!!
I swear, every single time!!

Anyone else have this problem?
Or shit, a SOLUTION? that'd be sah-weet!

I feel yeah

Every time something bad happens it feels like everything is going bad...but u don't need to let it get to u....what is most likely happening is that the initial "bad thing" that happened to u puts u into a mindset or mood that the world hates u....when in reality all ur doing is looking for only the bad thinkgs in ur life and not concentrating on the good things that happen to u every day.....if it get's really bad think of how u have so much more then others...ie food ur health....or freakin meditate.....by that I mean take time out of ur busy day to enjoy something....say u like driving....go out for a nice long drive with some music pumping....go anywhere , wherever the road takes u....

just realize that life has ups then downs no matter who u are or how much u have...so what u have to do during the bad times is make the best of it...don't ever have a hopless attitude cause that only makes shit worse......oh and of course masterbate...nuthin says u love urself like some good hand lovin...

The problem is that when something goes bad, you start to dwell on that fact and it's a deadly spiral from there on down. A lot of people get caught up in it and sometimes can't get out. Side effects are as vast as depression to suicide.

I believe you create the world you live in. If you think it sucks and shit is raining on you every day then it will. Why? Because you DON'T WANT to see anything else. You give yourself an reason to blame how bad your luck/life/situation is.

If you think that things will get better, things happen for a reason, you learn from it and move on. Well, this is the only way I have been able to deal with the shitty hand I am dealt sometimes.

It's that or go get laid. :119:

Correction: no. Clinical depression is the REASON you feel as though nothing is right, and everything sucks. Your bad attidute doesn't lead to depression, as clinical depression is genetic.

The way i see it, when one thing in your life goes bad, sometimes alot of other things go bad too.. but alot of times it'sj ust your view on things. [for me anywayz] with me, when i'm in a blah mood from something else, when i look into other things, i dont' see anything but bad.. because i'm not so much looking for the good.. the bad just seems to stick out so much more. with that i sometimes tend to find the bad thing si never even saw before, so it's like things are all getting worse.

when i get blah i try not to think bout other th ings, cuz i usually end up feeling worse. and i feel bad enuff to often as it is.. but that's hard to not think when ur blah! so.. i dunno.. no solution really.. that i know of anywayz...

Correction: put it this way. if you were in some car accident because you were driving drunk and all your friends were killed except for you, then you find out that the car you actually hit were your family, one bad thing, after another, would YOU think someone would become depressed? probably yes. a lot of people go through so much shit that they have become mentally ill and labelled as "clinically depressed" Depression is something that can be both innated and acquired. But even so, a lot of people who have what is most likely predisposed depression go to see therapists to talk about issues and problems because sometimes, when you feel better about situations, you're less likely to suffer attacks of depression.

Being the daughter of a man who has a masters' in psychology has it's moments....

Joanne: being someone diagnosed with clinical depression, I can tell you that they call it CLINICAL because it's there from square one. Induced depression is something different - - in the scenario you stated, it would be more regret and self-hate that throws the person into the black hole, rather than what is fucked up deep down inside.

where'd you get that definition?
CLINICAL depression simply means that it is restricted to the direct medical treatment of patients, as opposed to a bunch of theoretical mumbo jumbo stuff.
you seem to associate induced depression as something that is only treatable through long talks with therapists or something.

hmmm.. funny, my dad who used to teach psychology and my psych teacher explained it differently..

guess it's one of those huge nature vs nurture debates that will go around in circles.
