ummm i am not much fro peircings and tattys.. kinda think they are a social cliche and all but some people make them work... i hardly ever notice ppl have tongue rings don't look @ ppl's tounges i guess.. its all your choice.. i don't see anything rong with a guy having one... go for it man

/\ Thank you! I'm not sure why everyone is hating on this male belly-button piercing thing. I've got mine done in 3 places(top, bottom-left, bottom-right) and I think it totally suits me. I don't really care if it seems effeminate or something, I had my reasons for getting them done and I'm happy with em. Going on 4 years without an infection or a rejection, guess I'm just lucky......

and my boyfriend at 15 had it done...and even then it was starting to gain popularity in the clubkid scene - so i think 5 years ago you were right in the middle of the trend....but good on ya for still loving it - i still love mine too and for me it's been 7 years

Getting yout tounge peirced is like piercing and ear -if you want it, get it -- you can always take it out

it can't really look bad on anyone...cause it's in your mouth
it's like asking about getting a filling - most folk won't even notice unless you're screaming in their face

That's the same thing with my eyebrow piercing. I know I didn't start anything new with that one, but when i got it done no one in my school had it. And then by the end of the year there were like 30 other guys with it done. It's kinda annoying, but whatever, they have just as much a right to get it done as i did. Plus, i can't say anything too much here, because i'm going to get my tongue done, and I'd look like a hypocrite if I razzed out people for getting piercings that everyone else has.

Piercings are addictive.(Like tattoos, I'm told. I don't have any tattoos.) I have seven piercings, and I got each one done seperately; w/ the exception of the three in my ears. It's strange. If you stick come metal rod in your skin, and it takes, you kinda wanna try stickin' some through different parts of your body. Seriously.
Out of all my piercings, the one in my tounge is the only one w/ any . . . practical applications.

Oh, I must correct what Zarlon pointed out. It should read "navel" not "naval."

^^I agree that piercings are addicitive. Everytime I finish getting something pierced I'm already thinking...hmm...what other piece of skin can i stick metal into? I don't have any tattoos (yet...i'm getting on in July)..but i have a feeling that it's going to be the same thing with them.
