figuring out what you want to DO

umm its year number 3 of not knowing wut i want to do, but i kno now wut i want to be, sumwhere in marketing and business, like entrepreneurship, but u kno wat? if u want to do wut i want, u dont really need skoool, jus hav to kno exactly wut ur getting into.

my advice to all those people who are baffled at wut they wanna do, wait out a year to see wut horizons u really want to go after, cuz skool life only limits u to so much. after u get out there in the workforce, like a part time job or wut not youll kno wut u want and dont want to do. im in year 3 and still im not sure i want to commit to that but u never kno actually....

I still don't know what I want to be. I thought taking a year off school would help but it really hasn't. I know i'm interested in people aspects so I want to take physchology,sociology and anthropology(which I heard is the study of culture) but I don't know if I should even bother because who knows if any of these courses will help me out for the future. If i was rich it would be a different story but I'm not and neither are my parents so half or more of the payments going to be coming out of my own pocket and I don't want to waste my time and money..
I'm also interested in production of music which is a completely different thing to take up. Man,it sucks so much how we have to pay so much to get education..I can't exactly get a student grant or loan either because my highschool grades were absolute shit. Why is everything so hard to figure out?

wow, your interests are very similar to mine. I was looking into studying anthropology as well. At kwantlen the anthropology course they offer touches down on a plethora or different things such as sociology,philosophy,archaeology annnnnnd like world history i think just to name a few. if you are seriously intersted in this I suggest you do some more research and once you have made your final decision go to various organizations that will give you grants or burcerys or something. I suggest you hit up i think its called the womens philanthropic organization, apparently they grant young women funding to pay for thier tuition.
I also suggest you go and talk to a counsellor at an employment center, because these people know the statistics for how much and how little of a demand there is for various fields of work.

As for your grades being shit, mine were shit too cuz I was never there. I was more then capable of doing the work, I just didnt do it because the work held no challenge for me( with the exception of math)thus I lost interest in attending school.

If your iq level is above average and your able to comprehend the english language you shouldnt have any trouble getting into the courses that you choose. If you do you`ll just have to take a bs course to boost your vernacular and comprehnsion of it and your good to go.

If you focus on the obsticles, more and more will arise. Focus on how you can over come these obsticles,come up with a game plan, and set it in motion.

Sure you might be young, but still theres no time like the present. Dont procrastinate and keep putting it off cuz you`ll end up busting your ass for minimum wage for a good portion of your youth. Over worked and over looked.
Im sure you dont want to end up that way.

It's not, humans are just usually inherently lazy and being forced to work for a majority of your life just to stay alive doesn't help either.
