Kids Killing Animals.
Isn't that the first sign of Mental issues? first he tries to kill a dog... then just the other day he hit a little hamster over the back with a gate. and broke the poor things back.... but it didn't die.. it was just squrming around and screaming in pain.
my birth dad (who alot like me loves animals) is freaking out... and doesn't know what to do with this poor thing.... and the kids asks .. 'can i watch it die" ok.. thats when you get help.... you need to go to a DR or something. espechally with a baby in the house. so my aunt comes over (his mom, or my birth grandma) and gives the thing a Tranq.. he falls asleep and dies... .... i love the little boy who did this hes normally so sweet... he has his issues. from what i know his mother thought nothing of it. I'm sick. thats the worst story int he world... i wish it didn't happen to people i love. |

that is a very strong sign of mental issues, alot of psycho paths who end up torturing and killing people start off doing it to animals in their youth....its very sad when somone you love has such serious problems, but he needs to see a doctor

it's not necessarily a sign of mental illness. lots of children who kill animals grow up to be average, normal people! however I have a book about psychotic killers that says that you should start to really worry if the child likes killing animals, starts fires and wets the bed (all 3 symptoms, not just one).

Um I think that anyone who enjoys watching a defencless animal suffer and die by their own hand is a sign of sickness....I dont think its normal and healthy to want to kill animals and find pleasure in watching them die....
as long as he isnt wetting the bed and starting fires? No this kid has problems, take him to the doctor |

Doom and his little brother used to kill and break things/animals quite frequently in their formative years... there's just something about acetone and pellet guns that is sooooo appealing.
And look at Doom, he is a fine upstanding member of society. However that shit smearing thing is freaky, throw the shit-disturber (haha) in the loony bin pronto. |

I'm worried about the baby.. shes only a year old... and not that hes bad to her.. he LOVES her to death....
I just wouldn't want him to have a temper Fit, and do something to her to get back at someone. his big brother is really shy. and quiet. ...and really sensitive to things like animals... but the little guy.. is really bitter. Doom, I know its normaly for little boys do do that.. I grew up with a brother... and mot kids like you say will hit things.. or shoot things.. this kid will sit there with a hand around the dogs neck watching it struggle for breath.... he likes watching things die.... he had a really hard child hood until he moved here... |

bah, sorry, I just read the part about how this kid seems to actually seems to enjoy watching animal torture.... THAT is a lot different from animals who simply kill because they're curious about parts of an animal... actually enjoying an animal squeal in pain is kinda scary :(

mental health starts with the parents and how they cope with his behavior, especially if they condone it. The first 6 years of someone's life determine who they are forevor. I think if he's young and killing animals, there will be good reasons for him to do it with bigger things, to someone he hates later on in life. Not necesaraly that he will, but I think there's much more of a desire to do so if he is already used to death.
Something is wrong, there's no good thing coming about it. Maybe he just needs someone to talk to. |

I read the link that is so sad...I also remember a story years back about how some kids thought it was funny to put a litter of kittens one by one in to the microwave and watch them explode...there are a lot of sick people out there.
"Studies, such as The First Strike Campaign, strongly suggest there is a link between animal torture and killing as a precursor to violent behavior against fellow human beings." |

maybe if she was a doctor who's conducted some studies or actually worked with children. until then her views are as useful as some other random unqualified stranger. |
