Going To Ireland Alone.
I've always wanted to back pack around Ireland... I finally have money to do that.. I think i'm going to leave in the middle of october...
But i'm a little afraid to go on my own.. has anyone ever backpacked alone before? Last edited by Discord; Jul 16, 04 at 07:30 AM. |

Hey i lived in the UK for 10 months, did a little backpacking... ireland, its pretty similar to scotland which is where I was most of the time...
anyway, IRish people are soooooo much fun and friendly so you definetly won't have a problem being by yourself..it's really really easy to meet people over there..One benefit you are gonna have is that its an english speaking place so it will be alot easier for you than it would being in a foreign speaking place... but you should DEFINETLY go for it!! I'm soooo jealous and want to go back! |

haha a friend of mine was alone in Dublin on business recently
He had no trouble meeting locals willing to show him a really good time.. i'll never forget the time he called me drunk and lost in Dublin at 4am local time (he had a flight to catch at 8:40am) and being like 'fuuuck where am I?' I find that in life, you often regret more the things you didn't do. So why not? |

I agree the Irish are great.
Generous, and hilarious, god the most fun I've ever had has been with Irish. They know the best jokes. I'm going in November, for work though. I'll mostly be in Dublin. But if you want a friendly face or just to hear a Canadian accent for an evening, e-mail me @ [email protected] |
