Seanu, this is fucking platinum. Michael Moore, Adbusters, Naomi Klein..all that shit is so good at pointing out the problems, but hardly ever devises a logical solution.

We can all intend to be as anti commercial as we'd like, but you'll still be commercial, you're still a consumer.

i've only read parts of 'No Logo', but she does talk about ways to solve the problem.

but in all honestly i hope to make alot of money doing what i just made a sarcastic remark about. I know for myself i love material objects however they still have little true value to me and i dont base who i am on what i own even tho sometimes i make remarks that would make someone beleive the contary....i like my material objects and i hope to acquire a bunch more but that would never be the sole focus of my life, i want my focus in life to be the best person i can be, giving back to society and shit, and getting ahead without fucking over people who didnt have it coming to them in the first place. material objects are just a side benefit of being good at playing a game, and if you're in buisness they also serve to be a good way of keeping score.

for alot of the successful people i know, including my parents, money and material objects are not their motivating factor its the love of being good at what they do, its just a game to them. though now ive rambling into talking about somehting completely different.
