ever look at yourself in the mirror and see someone else?

I never really have, until last night.

I was really drunk, at a party, and in the washroom. just before I came out of the washroom, I looked at myself in the mirror. It looked like me, but there was something odd. My reflection just really didn't seem like it WAS mine at all, rather the relfection of some fucking drunk. I had the same thing happen to me with my shadow, later that night when I was stumbling to my crashing place. I saw my shadow on the side of a building, but it was somehow detached from me. It just didn't seem like it was mine. It seemed fake. It was kind of disturbing, and I think it was a sign of how fake intoxication is. I think I'm going to cut back a hell of alot on the drugs and alcohol for quite awhile now.

I really don't like being fake at all.

I'm not sure how much sense any of this makes, my brain is not completely here right now.

well..I dunno.. I didnt exactly have that happen to me last night, or ever for that matter.. but last night when we showed up at ambers.. and every one was saying hi, giving hugs and what not..I didnt feel like me.. I felt like I was some onje else.. in a diff body or soething.. perhaps i should lay off the alchomahol.. but i know i have control over it:)

So I dunno..I think i could be, because the first frinl we had..the alchomahol was 2 weeks old and the bottle had already been open and the other bottle wasnt open but was from chris' bday of soemthing..ug.. i dunno..i think i'm just mumbling.. damn drunks!

Alcohol can be fun.

But it is also used WAY too much to run from pain and problems in your life.

I just really realized last night that I'm a fucking moron when I'm drunk.

It's not for me anymore.

That did occur to me as well, that I may be just saying this and end up getting shitfaced in a couple weeks or something....

but I've never really had something like this happen to me before.

I know where you're coming from... I've been through that stage of my life a couple of times.

It was a portrait of yourself you saw in that reflection, but it was probably a reflection you didn't recognize, right? Normally, when you see something like that, it's time to take a deep look into yourself. Maybe this is a time when you make some changes in your life.

Do you like where you are?
Are you happy?
Are your goals realistic and are they achievable?

Stuff like that... I don't know you personally, and I'm not trying to tell you what to do or anything... Just trying to help :Kimmie:

Honestly, the alcohol had a minor part in this situation. It just helped you see a side of you that you didn't like.

i hate looking in the mirror and seeing sumone else..u know its u..but u strangely don't recognize urself at the same time..cuz its not who u want to be...but its sorta how u are...nuthin i said really helps u in anyway..just saying..it happens to me too..~

I wish i could look in the mirror and see someone else.. Cause when i look in the mirror I only see something i hate.. and i hate seeing that.. which is why i try not to look in the mirror anymore..
