my teachers like me?
In highschool I was your basic C student. My teachers hated me and wanted me to drop their classes (mostly to bring up the class average I figured). They were not very encouraging. They told me that I wasn't cut out for the sciences, teachers and counslers! Fortunately I'm very ambitious, and didn't listen to them.
Now that I'm in post secondary, my teachers actually like me. I'm doing a million times better grade wise and my profs are encouraging me to take more difficult classes. We talk as equals about various subjects after class.... I'm not used to this treatment, it's throwing me off a little actually. If only my highschool teachers treated me so well..... Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm actually the opposite of you, did a LOT better in highschool.
But good for you! At least your talent is appreciated where it actually counts.

University you're there because you want to learn.
High School you're there because you have to be. Some people enjoy High School, some don't, some enjoy the actual education, others enjoy the.... extra curriculars? University is a crazy culture because it's a High School people want to be at.

yes - my highschool art teacher and i did not get along, until grade 12. but i think he pushed me so i would succeed.. and it worked
however, ive been getting praised at school for doing origional work, having my own style... then some fucking bitches in class up and fucking stole my style - not even just an aspect but everything. they took my sense of composition, my style of line, my style of figures - fucking everything. they raped my mind. then some other bitch stole my fucking main character that i draw all the time doing various things.... i hate it. now i dont like getting praise. it felt good for a night, now it feels like it was an open inventation to just fucking jack my style.... sorry for the bitching, it needed to come out. basically, yes i experience it, and i dont like it.

The same thing happened to me in high school, especially when we had to write short stories and essays. People would always ask what my topics were and then I would find out that they decided to do the same thing as me! It's such a piss off! So, eventually I just started lying to them and giving them shitty ideas. It's a lot harder w/your art though, since it's always on display.

when people copy off me i feel flattered lol. booska what are u talking about?? people and sciences are the biggest cheaters since there always a definit answer for problems unlike in arts.
