I caught the very end of something on the news i think the item was called the nuvoring or some shit its basically a ring you stuff up there and it releases stuff that prevents pregency. but im pretty sure its none hormonal.Something to check out.

haha, werd. well propz fer trying anyway... it's been out for a while. It has much less hormones because it sits on the edge of your(well not YOUR) lol, cervix, and releases the hormones there only, instead of throughout your whole body like with pills or shots.

^^ I know how BC works i thought the ring released an anti sperm gel rather then hormons quess i was wrong.

Gyne T or Nova T IUD: The most commonly used IUD is the Gyne T or Nova T. Copper wire is wound around the stem of the T-shaped IUD. The Copper T 380-A can stay in place for at least 10 years and has a high effectiveness rate (less than 1% chance of pregnancy in the first year, and the chance gets lower with time).

It's what I have and it works just fine. I don't need to take pills/use patches/get shots. The one I have is a 30-month IUD, and I'm going to get it replaced in July. Then the next one is good for another 2.5 years. It's $75 for peace of mind that isn't dependent on my raver memory. :p

^once you go past three inches inside a woman, there is no feeling in there...

its like when chicks get their period and use tampons.. you dont hear them bitching about them being umconfortable.. becuase they can't feel them. Same idea with the ring.

I always thought they were a cool concept, but I've heard it hurts A LOT to have them removed.

ya i dont think i would go with something like this...i like the depo shot for the only fact that it would last for months and it was off of my mind...the side effects however are not great

you dont HAVE to take your pill the same time everyday... just when ever you remember........ or mayb thats with my kind of pill... they're really stong and last a couple days... this ring thing sounds interesting..... but i'm so used to taking my pill i dont really care........ but i hate taking out my pack infront of a bunch of my guy friends and they all look at me weird, i'd rather have somethng they had no idea about hahaha

Yeah, hi.

You're taking hormones. They work best when they're taken around the same time (usually within an hour) each day so your body works with them properly. It's kind of like with antibiotics, you take them around the same times every day so your body gets used to consistent amounts of them in your system. You can go ahead and take your bc 'whenever you remember' but it's not going to work as well that way.
