I have a drinking problem.
My problem is that I don't drink!
I don't need alcohol to have a good time (I usually have a better time without it), and I usually prefer driving my self around/having control of my night.
But I would say a real "drinking problem" would be described as someone who uses alcohol to boost confidence, to regulate themselves, as the only way they will have a good time. Also when alcohol takes priority over other things that were once important in your life (family, friends, hobbies, food, health) or if you can't go without, then you probably have a drinking problem.
