East Van

Im moving to east van on commercial and almost hastings....im scared beacause im a single woman and i travel alone at night by bus...should i be worried or will i be fine?????

I lived there for four years (commercial + 8th then commercial + 20th)

I'm about oh, five foot nothing, I also really like to take walks late at night alone with a discman on (bad habit, but it rocks) and it was fine. There's weirdos in east van, but around commercial drive they're all just kind of funky weirdos.

What I miss most about living in east van? I could leave the house in my pyjamas. Can't do that downtown.

you're pretty much fucked. if i were you i'd get atleast 3 locks on your front door, and always have a porch light on. i'd also register a handgun and keep it in your dresser just in case.

when coming home at night, try to wear as much black as possible so that no one will see you. run AS FAST AS YOU CAN to get home, and never ever look back.
