If you are worried as being portrayed as a slut then dont do it.

Generally you should not care what people think about you. If you care that much then do not engage in something you define as slutty/skanky/whorish.

However once again, I will refer to some girl up on a bar in a mini skirt dancing in her bra as a skank. This does not actually mean she sleeps around.

It's very simple to keep a non slutty image and still be a "free spirit".

Slut is a word. Used to describe people.

If someone says "Oh, so and so is a slut", then, as far as that person is concerned, that person is a slut.

It's entirely how someone perceives you.

I've known plenty of people I would consider sluts who have gone right outside many different social circles lookin' for play. So I don't buy that "social circle" definition.

basically, if you do lots of whorish things and people know about it your a slut. if you do it and people dont know then you wont be called a slut.

Honestly, I don't like any of those terms, but use them often. I think a girl is a slut who uses sex as a sort of right of passage. Doing it just because you can and doing it with anyone. Personally I think it should mean SOMETHING but there are girls and guys for that matter that just want to get laid and who sleep around. A slut was traditionally someone who sold themself for sex and was called that in the late 19th and early 20th century. Whore/ho/skank are in my opinion prostitutes. Dirty is just when you aren't as bad as all of the above but you have a line to cross. Soon as you start giving up your dignity just for it or doing it for money... you have crossed that line. Basically the girls that are "loose" before they are in their 20's... yeah they can be descibred as the above mentioned.

Sex isn't bad, it's just the way that it's carried out makes it have a bad name for teens and young adults alike.
