I don't know about everyone else, but when i'm drunk or messed on some drug, i have this habbit of not caring what people think. Thus i normaly say what i feel, when i sober up i have this habbit of being shy when expressing emotions. Maybe other people have this too, just my 2 cents tho...

maybe thats it... i just wish i knew what this person was really thinkin. I know when i'm drunk i let lose a bit and tell ppl how i really feel...good or bad.

they say that when ur drunk ur "true emotions" come out, but the thing is that if they say it when they were drunk then the "let down" if there is one, might be less painful cuz then u would go "oh they were drunk and didnt mean it type thing" then when they are sober...get it?

alot of the time their just trying to get into your pants...
but as almost everyone else has said, and for me personally, when im drunk i say alot more that is on my mind than when im sober. im normally very shy and keep everything to myself. and alcohol is great for lowering those inhabitions so.. people are more honest, arent afraid of what people will think because well, when your drunk you don't care. i must admit alcohol is the worst for me to act this way. drugs not so much. but alcohol... oh dear.. probly the reason why I don't get that drunk. because i don't like those things getting out.:)

I'm not so bad with booze, its the drugs that really do it, actually, i find when on drugs everyone tells each other that they love you or vice versa, i find if someone tells me they love me and they are drunk they really mean it. Who hasn't had someone on e tell you they love you?

^^^mmm well not always...I've known of some drunk people who have been completly talking out of their ass, including me. Thats usually for entertainments sake though, not topics like how much you like someone. In this case I'm sure they are telling the truth and just too shy to repeat it when sober, because who could not love you jen.

couple things:

1.) they probaly do like you, they are just too scared to admit it when they are sober. they are well aware that they let it slip when they were intoxicated, hence the reason why they wish not to express it/ act as if "it never happened" to you while they are sober.

or

2.) they were sooo intoxicated that they told this to you, and may have forgotten about it entirely. this is the part that ruins most of what "could have been" hook ups.

all of the people here are telling you to ask him right away. i say don't do that yet. because if you do, and he is unaware that he said that to you due to the fact he don't remember cause of the alcohol, now you are putting that person on the spot, and they may react in a different manner than what they actually feel.

the best way is to ask them if they recall certain events that evening leading up to the point where they said that. if they don't recall it before you have to tell him, he was probaly drunk as hell and does not remember saying that. this is where you tell him what he said, then ask if he really feels this way.

been in ur posistion .. its a tough one, whether to believe what they have to say or not..
who really knows what they think..
they could say one thing and totally mean the other..
usually when there intoixicated the truth comes out..well for me anyways..but when soberness comes around and hits them.. its like nothing had been said..

dont deal with ppl like that.. there jus a waste of time.. if they really like you, they'll take action when their sober and do something about it..
if they dont.. then i'd say see yeah!

hmmm u could be rite about this...only thing is that the person has said this on more than one drunk occasion.
