Depo vs the pill

i am on the shot and I LOVE IT.. i had no side affects or anything!! no weight gain no period nothing!! and plus the pill is just as "dangerous" they just try and tell u not to take the shot cuz the pill is way more expensive!! the pill is about 30 bucks a month and well depo is only 30 bucks every 3 months!! whoop i love it.. go with depo.. unless u get side affects then yah it sucks.. one of my gf's went on it and her period never stopped.. yuck..

She had her period the entire time she was pregnant and carried smaller than most. She also claimed to never have had sex, and that her and the BF had started, but they changed their minds and stopped. She holds true to this, to this day.

Just goes to show how little the "pull out" method works.

ps - I still don't believe her. He totally tapped that ass.

i dont get why IUDs arent more popular.. theyre a lot less trouble than anything else, and more reliable. one every ten years or so.

Question for you ladies, I am trying to avoid my period at the end of the month cuz im going on a holiday and i was just wondering if taking two packs of pills in a row to prevent a period works for you? I tried it last month and by the end of the first weekf of my second pack i started to get spotting. In the end I had my period for 3 weeks straight while on the pill.

Remembering a pill is not hard..especially when its preventing you from getting prego... if you cant do that.. tell ur man to slap on a condom and ur good to go

actually it's one up to every 5 years. And they aren't as common anymore b/c there is more risk for complications.

Wierd i was at my doctors office reading a parenting magazine and they were talking about the new birthcontrol where you dont get your period. One doctor who they were talking to said she had been taking the pill for a few years and she would never take the sugar pill so she would never get her period. Ive had friends who have done this, sounds wierd to me but apparently it works.

I dont know if there is a way they can test to see how it will affect your body chemistry before going on it. But i have known a coupld of chick that put on a lot of weight while on the depo. Be careful thats al i can say. Not everything works for everyone.

i had an ex girlfriend who had depo. she like it very much. but she did gain weight, so i had to break up with her.

Yeah this is totally true .. I'v done it once n there ever so often if i have a special occasion where i dont want to have my period... but im not to sure how healthy it is..
