OMG! Today was one of the best days...

So, today at work my chef and the head chef of my place tells me to go into their office...In my mind I was like "Oh shit...What I do now"...

First thing he says is "I'm offering you a apprenticeship" He asked me what I thought about it...I was like "I don't think I'm nearly as skilled as Max (fellow VCC grad) but then he was like "I don't care about skills, it's all about attitude. I've seen you work and you give it your 110% and go go go all the time"

The smile on my face was like a fat kid @ a candy store...I was so pleased with what I heard.

They also offered me a PERMANENT F/T position with the company which I was hoping I would get...As when I started I thought it was only for the Summer. =)

I'm so happy about the news today I just felt I had to write it out on here on FnK since I don't have a blog or anything!

I wanna party soooo bad! Miss you ravers! :(

See... biting your lip and swallowing the shit the chef slung your way at VCC and plodding ahead has paid off.

Looking forward to hearing how things are during your apprenticeship.

When I was an manager I too hired a VCC IT grad not for his skills but for his work ethic. I can teach someone the skills, but I can't teach them to be a hard worker.

Now you understand this first hand.

That was anothing thing he said I totally forgot to mention...He was like "don't worry the skills me and Jaimie can teach you and you'll learn alot from the rest of the guy's."

But he also said what you just said...I can teach you/anyone skills but not work ethic
