Deciding when it's the right time to stop talking to someone
I think it's getting to the point where I might just have to stop talking to someone in my life because there comes a point when you just need to have your own life and not dwell on things. I feel like it's come to that in this situation.
It's hard because it feels like you're losing a chunk of you, but at the same time liberating because you feel like you're getting on with things and heading to a different path in life. I guess sometimes, you just have to think about yourself and not everyone else around you. Thanks for the advice Carlos :) I'm sure there are plenty of people who have had to stop talking with ex's or friends because it was more beneficial for their life that way, it's just coming to terms with the fact that that is the solution, I find is the difficult part. |

I completely understand you.
My ex was a huge part of my life for almost three years, and when we broke up, I initially felt like I was losing a part of myself. What I realize now, and didn't realize at the time, was that I was actually gaining a huge part of me back - my independence. Now that I'm with someone different, I'm a way better partner for it. I know it was hard for my ex (and still is) but unfortunately, it was the best option to cease contact. |
