talk about 50 car convoy in deh bush and a little treck in pitch dark.. only to find people in pirate outfits and prom dresses!

I had a great night also. I'm sooo glad we decided to head back out there. :D Was so nice to see everyone that did make it. I have to say, the 2 main highlights were 'panty girl' and the guys running around and jumping on each other in the early morn. lol

Holy crap that was an adventure!!

Overall I would say I had a lot of fun. It was great to get to know some fellow DJs from far away (Maniak and Saigon who shared the ride with me), and also from much closer (Miss Marz). For me that was the highlight of this long weekend. Also a big shout out is deserved for Anthony aka Hyperfunk for believing in the rave gods, in fact said convoy never would have happened if it wasn't for him telling ravers someone was coming to guide them to the party.

The opposite of highlights (lowlights maybe?) included almost missing the last ferry (no one told me it was the last one until a half hour before), the PO PO, getting lost, and the countless hours without sleep to make the whole trip in like 26 hours. No joke.

Thanks to all that rocked out with me to my set. I was the dude playing breaks after Miss Marz. I was pretty pleased with my set, which was probably an hour and a half, despite the frozen fingers and lots of rum. Big shout out to the few cool people I met, whom I can't remember names of, but really wished I didn't have to leave right after I played so I could have gotten to know better.

Huge thanks to Jeff and Cedar for bringing me up, and for taking care of us despite all the difficulties. I am confident that the next event you guys throw will be way smoother due to having such bad luck at this one lol.

X MARKS THE SPOT.
first outdoor party of the year - somewhere on the island.

We start the trip by ferry.

9:00PM FERRY TO VICTORIA
Headliners {Sonny Chiba from Seattle, Maniak and Saigon from Toronto and myself] along with Hyperfunk from Seattle as the Chaperone.

10:30PM VICTORIA
Drive drive drive for what seems like forever. Drive back and forth by Nanaimo airport 3 times cuz we kept missing the exit. lol.

12:45PM Finally find it-

cops turn us away saying that it was nanaimo's Prom Night and there was "high kids running around and passing out everywhere" so the parties cancelled.

1:30 AM
drove to Cassidy Pub {creepiest little town pub i've ever stepped foot in}

met up with 50 other ravers that got turned around.

2:00 AM found new way out to venue

2:01 - 3:00 AM
RAVE TRAIN {OVER 50 CARS LOADED WITH PEOPLE}
following us through the most intense log road into the boonies i've done in a loooooooong while. So funny little fiat infront of us had 7 people! they had to get out over the river bed because the car was too heavy ahaha.

3:01 AM BOONIE BUSH PIRATE PARTY
arrive at the venue and bring the party!
look around. two stage venue. drum and bass and jungle on one and breaks/house on the other. both stellar setups. realize - a hundred kids completely mangled dressed up in pirate outfits and prom dresses - PRICELESS!
witness flailing in the bushes, booning of the asses, nakedness in bitter bitter coldness, and alot of happy kids partying the night away!

3:15 DROP SOME SEXY TRAX
make the party happen.. do a little dance, make a little love - get down tonight!

4:30AM SONNY CHIBA COMES ON. "VERY NICE!"

it's freaking cold!!!

4:35AM RAVERS TRY TO START FIRE - FAIL.

5:35AM LEAVE BOONIE BUSH PIRATE RAVE

9:00AM FERRY TO VAN

12:00PM HOME!!!
