Lowpass : Fridays feat. Kem - SEA 7/29
Lowpass Productions is proud to present...
Featuring: Kem PDX (Tomorrow Sounds, Bassrock, Lose Your Friends, Nu-Freakz, Selectabreaks) Currently riding on the buzz and strong reviews from his last two 12" releases, "Rugged" and "Dusted (Transformer Man remix)" [Tomorrow Sounds], in addition to his well received remix of Transformer Man's Hell Hound [Bassrock] (Aquasky: "A blessed-out tech funk roller of a tune!"), Kem is currently working on new material while waiting for several new tracks to drop: Due out this month on the UK label Lose Your Friends is Suckerpunch, featuring remixes by both the Spanish outfit Amnexiac and Transformer Man, and already getting play from Mutiny, 30hz, Quest and Nitro among others. Following are a remix of Transformer Man's "Light Nectar" on the Belgian label Nu-Freakz, and "I Rip It" on the mighty Spanish Selectabreaks. The end of 2004 also saw, along with his first major releases out on Tomorrow Sounds and Bassrock, a feature article in the worldwide distributed and Canadian-based Rinse magazine (15,000 distribution). Over the years Kem has kept a steady DJing pace throughout the Northwest and as far east as Baltimore, steadily gaining notoriety for his dynamic mixing and hard-as-nails sound. During his time with crews Darkcity, Virus and N.B.A he has played alongside such world-class breaks talent as Aquasky, Rennie Pilgrem, Chris Carter, The Crystal Method, Hyper, Atomic Hooligan and Influenza. ...Keep an eye out, there's much more where this came from.
