Live Rock Music Gigs

My bands of about a year are starting to look for gigs. I've exhuasted the obivous resources, pubs and clubs, but all require atleast some prior gig experience. Anyone got any ideas of places to play, besides the obivious? Anyone putting on a party interested in hiring a band? Thanks for any help.

As far as I know, I can't help you out.

But I can say it would be pretty rad to have a live band or two at the beginning of a party. Or maybe mixed in with the dj's throught an outside, day event. *hint hint promoters* I've heard alot of people talking about this idea actually, but no ones really done it.

Ya that's a good idea as long as the band doesn't suck alot.

Our originals songs have alot of jazz and blues, if I was to make a comparision i'd say something like Live. Some are a little edgier.

You could also throw your own show with some other bands.

always a possibility... if you need any help doing something like this Stoney I know somebody with a bit of gear and easy/cheap access to a lot more.. as well as show throwing abilities.
