if you believe "to each their own" why did you use the royal "we" in you post as if everyone feels or should feel the same as you and has had the same experience and that we need you're enlightening remarks to help us discover the "life" we are missing? your statements are contradictory (among other things) in language and intent.
yeah, the place is a dive. everybody knows that. cyber is just as much a dive, imo. if you have a better venue, talk to toby. better yet talk to me. i'd love to find one. or start your own thing. |

1) the ratio of sloshed people at the met compared to sober people is nothing short of staggering.
2) if you like playing for underaged girls then hey maybe the met is good for your reputation as a dj, you are no better then how you present yourself and when you chose a sleazy place like that well.. you aint lookin so hot right about now... take your AWESOME TALENT someplace better so more people can enjoy it. 3) the constant harassment from junkies outside the front door isnt something that ANYONE generally wants to deal with.. the lotus is no better for this downfall 4) I am NOT bashing the met to big up cyber 5) I used the royal "we" in my original post because IMO I dont think that kind of a venue reflects well on anyone who frequents it weekly. ''hi, I go to a dive every week cause its fun and the music is good.. you just have to ignore the overwhelming smell of urine outside the front door and fight off the crackheads scrambling for your spare change.. you should come sometime ITS FUCKING GREAT''... yeah, sounds like it. as for a different venue, its not up to me to find one for anyone, I know you werent asking me to and im not asking you to change venues. I just said that the same vibe in a less trashy loccation would be a lot more appealing. I know for a fact I'm not the only one thinking these things, maybe out of respect for people who used to play there, have played there and still do play there most of us dont complain but COME ON. Change is good. Last edited by Ms.Tarantula; Aug 30, 07 at 03:48 PM. |

oh, and i never said i have "AWESOME TALENT" so don't front like i did. Quote:
i never said you were. i used it merely as a basis of comparison as it's pretty much the only other d'n'b night in van. Quote:
maybe some people aren't as shallow and image oriented as you. maybe some people recognize the place for what it is and still want to listen to d'n'b on a friday or support their friends or the music or whatever. Quote:

this i totally agree with and isn't what i'm arguing. |

one of the problems of having one of those coveted and elusive "lives" is that your interneting can get interrupted by it.

^ dont ask me that like it makes any difference or as if you give a shit.
we both know you just want to trash talk whatever you think I support and thats even more hurting then me speaking my own opinion about that shit hole you call home. for the record, I dont really do the dnb nights any more. dont really want that crowd in my life. I do the house party thing with friends, and on occasion I might go to a night if I REALLY want to see the out of towners play out. I tried to digress from the topic, I even stated that maybe I was being overly negative and threw 'rispek' out there.. TWICE which is rare coming from me... but if you wanna keep arguing about shit then be my guest, it will keep me entertained at work all day. Last edited by Ms.Tarantula; Aug 31, 07 at 08:18 AM. |

i understand and acknowledge your "apology"/retraction, for lack of a better word, but i'm not trying to come down on you because i have some sort of beef with you, personally. i simply had a big problem with your original post on this page. so i said something. i understand your being defencive, seeing as this is the internet and all, but that's not my intent. i don't really call the met home. if i were to call a place "home" it would be the anza. |
