ok, so im not even going to read this thread, so if i missed all the drama/explanations i really dont care. All i know is if a companies ticket sellers cannot get their hands on presale/cheap tix then there is seriously something wrong. All the bs about "the tix were there" is a bunch of garbage. At minimum the people who want the tickets should at least have a chance to get them.

Hey guys,
Sorry for taking so long to reply back to you. Well, I just had a chance to go over the entire thread. I'll try my best to answer your question. At this point, we are pratically close to selling out the show already. Over 4000+ tickets have been sold already. It's no joke as ticketmaster ran out of tickets. There will be no more tickets available besides "certain" stores such as Laramy and possibily Boomtown. Keep in mind the legal capacity for this event is approximately 4500 or so and we want to watch our capacity. The tickets that we have released in the stores are limited since we're pulling it from the door now. We will be only only releasing certain amount a ticket per week at this point. As for out of towners who are from Kelowna, Seattle or 3-4 hrs drive away from us - please email us [email protected] as our [email protected] is currently not working properly. We will try our best to address your private concerns / work something out, please PM if you did send an email, so that I can see if it has been followed up. The explanation for the tickets for being so expensive is quite simple. A lot of people purchased in advance through "bulk" sales from the stores, bulk through private sellers, or ticketmaster. Plus there ain't any tickets left right now. Plus, this is the "FIRST" pne event in a WHOLE year plus its halloween. Lastly, 800+ tickets were sold within 4 hrs after the earlybird tickets were released through ticketmaster. We didn't even have the opportunity to really announce it on the forums. When I got home from work, ticketmaster had to call us to let us know that 20% of the show was sold within 4hrs. We didn't even know how the general public knew about the early birds tickets so early. For those without a ticket, I hope you can find someone who had purchased an early bird as there are a lot out there. For NYE (last PNE event until October 2007), we will announce the rough estimate when the tickets are scheduled to come out and hopefully people will have more time to prepare. Honestly, we did not know Dooms Night will sell out this fast (pratically in 1.5 weeks). It's still a month away but this show has sold out 2 years in row. Bottom line, you can expect this show to have an amazing setup and you will not be disappointed at all. Regards, Solid Management Last edited by -STAN-; Sep 28, 06 at 01:24 AM. |

It's not the fact that Dooms is a wicked party and they sell out fast! We know Dooms sells fast. But instantly up to 80$ per chump with no headliners released kind of makes us loyal people feel pissed off yah? Sure you didn't have to list the headliners or do anything before the tickets were released. But just like every other Solid Corp massive we hoped you would. Expected you would. I believe it's the right thing to do. For us that go just for the love of the music... Anywho just a bit of a rant.
P.S. It's a given I will be at another Solid Corp rave after Dooms and maybe still attend Dooms (Freaknight is looking more and more appealing this year). Because I support the hard work and dedication you guys have given over the years. But this whole thing is disappointing. Last edited by Diamonite; Sep 28, 06 at 08:57 AM. |

ha, when i think of paying $80 for a rave i can only laugh! when you put into perspective that people often pay just as much if not more money than that to go to concerts and that this event goes about 3 times as long and you're getting mulitple headliners, it kind of makes sense. massives totally aren't my thing at all anymore, but i can still see why its worth the money! not to mention the people that think ahead and buy packs of cheap pre-sale tickets just so they can turn around a couple weeks later and sell them for twice as much. smart cookies i tell ya!

Ya but at a concert you would hope they don't just have a jukebox playing someone else music. No offense yo any DJ but unless you are playing your own work or doing some sorta cool stage show aka* Swamp then ya. |

Also with a juke box it can take months to finaly recive a new released track. DJ's are on top of their game with music. Especialy in the electronc scene which is very under gorund. With serato and CD's I can get a track that was released the day of a gig and play that same night. Very few ppl are open to music they have never heard... it usualy takes a Dj or the radio to break a new song to them. Last edited by Ree Fresh; Sep 28, 06 at 04:54 PM. |

Rhia I was more getting to the point that you can't really compare a concert to a rave in the sense that a concert is what lets say 89% original works by the people performing to say at a rave what maybe 50% if lucky. No offense but a jukebox is a jukebox flesh or plastic.

In the end it's all music and having a good time and that's what it's all about. So do you stay awake at night obsessing over the amount some people choose to pay for a party?.:) |
