Hailing from Canada, he has, in the last year, played the vast majority of the world and has become touted as the next major North American breaks don. His releases and remixes are in constant demand, as shown by a relentlessly expanding discography which boasts variations and a range of styles most producers could only dream of pulling off… From his first record in 2001, the Myagi sound has grown and expanded with the breaks scene, all the while retaining its independence and unpredictability. Initially eschewing the nu skool sound in favor of funk, and then pushing in a deeper direction once the inevitable pigeon holing began, Myagi has remained fresh within the scene as a whole, not a step behind or ahead of anyone else, but in fact pursuing something different, fusing many sounds into a high energy dancefloor assault.He has played sets on the BBC, the CBC and Crystal Method's Community Service, landed a standout track on the Plump DJ's Saturday Night Lotion, and recently did an extremely well received exclusive mix album for www.djdownload.com on behalf of breaks labels West And Splank. MAT THE ALIEN - Whistler , BC C1RCA , SHINE  Mat the Alien started playing records on his brother's 1200's at the age of 15. His unique and innovative style was developed working at the family's record store in Bury near Manchester. Surrounded by a selection of new and old vinyl, Mat's style was fed by an eclectic blend of beats. Notorious for his seamless cuts, effortless scratching and distinctive selection, Mat developed his skills by playing many clubs, one-off events and radio shows. A move to Whistler, B.C., Canada found him inspired by his surroundings but lacking a nearby record store, so Mat concentrated on his DJ skills, making mix tapes and beats. Born in 1988 (!) he was weaned on hardcore vodka and babushka's in Russia and the Ukraine until the tender age of 11, where he then moved to the smoker¹s paradise that is Holland. Having a love for music, she felt right at home. After working at Edmonton's first after-hours club Therapy for three years, she was heavily influenced by breakbeats, house and funk. Getting her feet wet first by selling records at Feroshus, made the transition in 2000 from behind the bar to behind the decks very natural. Landing her first residency at Therapy and starting a weekly club night with Dj LP "Sweet n' Lo" at The Blackdog. After Feroshus closed, Sweetz made her way to Foosh, (Edmontons only other dj based record shop) to continue working with her first love - music.
