Nice!
<sniff, sniff> On behalf of Azim and the crew from Twisted Productions, I would like to thank all the members of the "raver academy" for this prestigious award. <lol> :160:
This is a great post... here is my feedback: 1. Best Plaza Party: Wett was pretty amazing and it wasn't because we threw it... The vibe in that party (for a Plaza party) was insane. Seriously when we let the first person in, like 3000 people in line started going CRAZY. People were running around like lil'kids when they got inside because they were so excited. 2. Best Vibe: I have heard REALLY good things about island parties and even parties up north but out of those I attended, Juicy was really good. 3. Best New Production: I never went to Crunk-It so again I would have to say Juicy. Really diverse line-up, some sick talent. I would have totally put porn on that screen where it belongs though! 4. Worst Party: No comment... But I did go to Pulsate and I think I was one of the 10 white guys there too but it was all good cause I had TONS of breaks to listen to! 5. Party of the Year: Spooky was EPIC. I mean, 5300 people going off like I have never seen. Go and check out the movie on www.thedjvibe.com and you will see what I mean. 6. Best Up and coming DJ: This is really hard cause there is so many. DJ'ing is one thing but producing is another. Keep your eye on Chrsitian Alvarez, Cinto and of course Dave Armstrong. Devlierance is changing his styles lately to something this scene hasn't seen before. Precise - can your scratching get any better dude? Chi-Chi - practices like no other and damn has it paid off yo! You rock any place when you drop a set... you will be headlining in a matter of no time. Now how about another question... Best looking guy that works for Twisted:??? <lol> :D |

HUH???? Asian Circles of death, and old 70 year old grandparents with fishnet shirts, exposing wrinkles for all to see. Entertaining??????? I dunno bout you guys but I go to party with fellow party kids that use the dance floor to ............DANCE. Not form a circle and flail to heart's content. PULSATE was HORRIBLE. Just goes to show u that phat dj's, phat lighting and lasers don't make a party. PEOPLE DO!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOTHER FUCK! Do you ever shut up about "working" for twisted Jesus fucking christ! Good job you work for a company who charges 50-60 bux for something that normally costs 5-20 bux, Do you want a medal for it? |

Plus the sound, lighting, lazers, DJs, travelling expences, promotions, production and any other incured costs i think would add a bit more to that ballpark 20 dollar figure you have just mindlessly put down.. Im not trying to slag you but a plaza party cost roughly from $100000-120000 to put on and divide that by 2700 (capasity) and get your break even point. Now you do the math. Promoting a show like that IS hard work! Last edited by dj_precise; May 30, 02 at 01:04 PM. |

Hey NinjaBoy
Dude... you are totally entitled to say what you want to but I gotta point out that the vibe you bring to your post, if it's reflection on how you are at parties, is the reason why the vibe at a lot of parties sucks.
Perhaps before making brain-dead comments like that you should do your research first. Peace. |

Percise, lets figure out the profit shall we?
tickets from heat 50 bux each Your proposed cost $100 000 Capacity 2700 Break even point: 37 bux a ticket Differance:13 bux Multiplied by: 2700 Profit: $35 100 You might notice in my math equasion that I forgot to say the first 500 tickets were cheaper, but then by that logic the number of tickets sold equals 3000. And I did not include VIP tickets. Hmmmm.... I'm not saying that the plazza is cheap. However making the high profit margin that twisted does off something which is fucking cheap anyways is completely diffrent. 5-20 bux is the average price for a good party/rave. It is provideded often and a hella lot better then what twisted does. I'm one of those bastard elitest who still thinks that the best parties are the smaller ones with promoters who actually give a flying fuck about how the party goes off and makes sure everyone enjoys it. God knows how many times we've seen a plaza headlinner not show up. Or the event oversold due to "counterfit tickets" My complaint is, you guys do expensive parties. Really really poorly. Sure it's clean, sure the sound is loud, sure there is a lot of shitty lazers for me to forget about in 30mins. But that's all. Quote:
and affordable ticket prices Hmmm Raidiance $10 bux Air trance it $15 bux Apt 303 $15 bux Return of duckbot 20 bux boo-ya 15 bux. Quote:
I've been to many large parties, many small parties, and several actual raves. I have helped with many, I know people who actually give a flying fuck about the "scene" and those who are in it to make money. I know that when someone says "I hope all the headlinners will show up to (insert plazza party name here)" that the promoter is doing a shit job. In your wonderful knowlage mister uber promoter, what else do I need to know. Don't give me this 30000000000000 dollars to throw a massive party. You guys are making a profit. A large one. A realllllllyyyyyyy large one. Don't try to sugar coat it. You sell a name brand. You make a profit off of "raves". That's all it comes down to. You do not throw raves. You do not care about raves. Ahhh...
Well NinjaBoy, you seem to know all about me and Twisted already now don't you so I won't even bother to comment. Again you are assuming a lot and those figures you quoted are not accurate.
As I mentioned before, everyone is entitled to there own opinions and you have expressed yours. And on a seperate note, Martin does throw great parties - I have been to a few myself and even have brought a ton of friends out to them! Peace. |
