well this isn't really a review cause I never made it out to the party. I'd like to say a few things this was my first trip to try and come over to play and not a good experiance I got turned around at the border for not having a work passs and I told the fucking boreder people we where visiting vancouver for the night they decided for some reason to search are car and question my records in the car accused me of lying and trying to work in canada with out a worker permit so the next time I'm booked for a show someone out there will be taking care of that I'm highly pissed that I drove 3 hrs to the border to have to turn around and drive 3 hrs home cause no one informed me of a workers permit and on top of it I had friend who got threw who where with me who got stuck out in BC for the night cause they drove a different car. Once again sorry people or not being there tonight.

sorry to hear that bro... seems like every 3rd dj i know trying to make a pass into Canada has to go through the "where are you going with those records?" border-grillin. Amazing how bent out of shape they get over a few unclaimed bucks (if any) when the real crooks are smuggling weed, diamonds and god knows what else. It's the artists that have to sit through a 3-6 hour drive, 20 minute border wait and then have to tell all to the border guards. It's time we either came up with some amazing new stories of where we're going with a crate of records or we just started following the code. Next time say you're playing on some internet radio show and have someone fax a bunk agreement. Jump through the hoops i guess... |

yea only problem with playing on the radio is work permit I checked there fucking site last night I didn't need a permit to come play last night cause of location the dude just fucked with me cause I lied I was pissed whan I came home and read about exemptions to work permits. But yes from now on I will be going by the book I really don't want that problem again and I do wanna play canada. So next time I plan on comming out all the proper paper work and bussiness aspects to get me across the border will be taken :)

it was definetly one hell of a dust bowl.... my lungs are so filled up with dust right now... i feel awful
but it was a fun night. thanks to everyone who came out to listen to my set =) i definetly was far from sober but the support i got was great and i thank you all.. =) |

Hmm..
I dunno dude.. the border does suck that way. I managed to cross the border back and forth to play a million times before I finally got red flagged and you know what, for some reason the Vancouver-Seattle car crossing is the WORST! I have crossed Windsor-Detroit and back and forth to New York, Miami, whatever..
you just have to stay a bit longer usually. If you're just going over for a night you will definitely arouse suspicion.. but if you actually stay a whole weekend and come prepared.. And guys.. sorry that I never made it out. I didn't have a vehicle, I would have liked to have come out a few hours, but it was just too damn far to catch a ride with people that were going to do E and obviously not want to leave till way after we'd passed out in desperation.. Yeah the party was pretty good. It was so damn hard to find anyone or anything, I got lost like millions of time at first. But it was dope when I found tha F&K HQ. Crazy tent boxes!!!!!!! (I was soo blazed) Shout outs to people I saw there and especially the ones I just met. Sorry about names but I can't remember all of em, I was a sorta drunk and super ripped and plus its easier for you to remember one person than for me to remeber a whole bunch. One thing though, THERE WERENT ENOGUH BREAKS!!!!! I was a bit pissed about that, I only heard like a total of 30 minutes of breaks and thats it. There was lots and lots of Jungle and I like Jungle too but I needed more breaks, some of tha House sets were sweet too. Well my next party is Summerlove so whoever is goin then I'll see ya there........

Seriously though, I'm in love with the location. Definitely worth the drive out there. The fact that I was sick all night didn't help me much. Talk about not fun at ALL. Oh and hearing the same tracks 37298748 times wasn't the greatest either. But hey, it was fun. Came back from walking down the river in the morning to all you crackheads.. it just made the party seem so much better. All of you are hilarious. |

despite the drive being soooo far and getting lost; getting there was an adventure itself... everything from leatherface to random guy walking in the middle of nowhere without any shoes to olivers old high school haha. Party itself was tight; people, location, and music was good all night! at some points it was 3 stages of dnb...who could ask for more? after several beers and "doing" some pot i decided it was time for a booze snooze, woke up at it was 9am!!! so much for the party. getting home kinda sucked though, its 4:30 and i just got home like 20 minutes ago. squamish mcdonalds massif! shout outs to: caitlin, oliver, coco, miska, christine, conor, myles, scott, p.mike, jose, sean, m.mike, sher, riel, tom, kolyn, kristen, liz, lisa, lauren, michelle, kenji, chris, heather, and others! nice seein u guys fo real' |
