Now that I have finally gotten up from resting my old bones...
The F&K crew ventured to the party and we haven't seen such a lineup outside the Plaza for a while. With all the hype and expecteations I expected the regular lineup to be long, but the lineup for the VIP was crazy too. We hit the ticket booth, saw a pair of crazy mexican girls :c-tard: who slapped some F&K stickers on their sombreros, heard that tickets were selling for $150, laughed, heard the same tracks being played inside as in my car, laughed some more, watched Kimmie freeze be ass off in her small outfit and then decided to venture inside. Nice little castle stage that was created for the DJ and good visual setup. The first thing I noticed was the lack of serious bass/music volume in the main stage. I see this guy walking around with a sound meter and I was hoping he would be telling someone it was not loud enough. I headed to the BC Room to check out this new dance floor that was supposed to be installed and encountered something more like taped down pieces of sisal carpet. WTF?!?? We go upstairs to the theatre and there was some serious distortion happening with the monitors. If one was trying to keep bugs out of the place it then that noise would have worked for sure. I turn my back and out the corner of my eye I see Lex get attacked by a pouncing Addy and I get mooned by three PLuR fairies. Myles and I proceed to slap stickers on all members in sight and I decided then it was time for liftoff. As I wait for the countdown to hit zero I venture outside to the second floor and see a packed main room with a sea of people going off to Lock & Load. I love these guys!! A nice set just like the one from Twisted 2001. A small paperbag Princess wanders over to me to say hello and as I rest my eyes who do I see but c-Tamps!!! Or I think I did anyway... I swear I had x-ray vision as my eyes were closed. 3am rolls around, down the escalators I go into that evil field of people prancing to the trance as Johan hits the decks. I somehow made it to the F&K meet and see a bunch of dissapointed members as I ran out of stickers for the night. I nice big turnout for the meet I must say! I ask this guy what his nick is on F&K and he asks me "Speak some english buddy!". So I ask him where he is from and he tells me "I dunno... I'm high on E and wanted to be in a picture" so if you see the pics he is the topless white guy laying down in the righthand corner of the pics. The music takes control of me and I wander out into the main dancefloor. Very nice set from the one DJ I wanted to see but once again the sound just wasn't loud enough to make it nuts. Just a nice epic set of trance. Azim hits the decks and must have received the bunch of vinyl he bought off eBay as it was one of the best sets I've heard him spin in ages. The daylight breaks through and the party ends... or so I thought until I made it the Lex's. Mario Cart at my place anyone??? :041: Last edited by MC Hammered; Oct 28, 02 at 02:36 PM. |

Well I had a really good time. Just when I think disco/funky house has knocked breaks off of my #1 list, Cinto goes and spins. That was a wicked set. Breaks are back at the top again.
However, I'm with Oliver, Seth and Nigel's set was so very good. I can't believe I stayed till the end, that's just wrong. But their set was too good to leave. I didn't get to throw any carrots but that's okay, it was still fun, plus I went the whole night with out hearing any jungle (YAY). I'm sure there's a law against me saying that on F&K, but it made me happy. |

I had a pretty good time... Danced my ass off, met a few people. I was pretty disapointed with the sound in all the rooms though. I was excited to see the live house (evolution) but the sound was so fucked at that point you could barely hear what they were doing... it actually completly died at one point and all they had going was the monitor. The guy with the sax played a pretty good little solo to kill the silence though.
I was also looking forward to funklab, but the sound was super quiet, I was right up front and you could hear peoples conversations halfway across the room over the music. I didn't really like their set either, pretty damn boring and uneventful. There were alot of good points though... It was fun watching people trip over the carpet all night. Little miss booty's set was awsome, the crowd went nuts! Again, more volume would have been nice though. The house room finally seemed to work out some of the bugs and was bumpin at the end of the night, hirshees set was nuts!! The rest of the place was dying at the end but he kept the theater going off until the bitter end! I missed the fnk meet :( Well thats about it... I'm sure their were more highlights i just can't seem to rember them ;) Overall, I had fun, but I definately didn't expect sound problems from such a big budget show. |

Well it's been a VERY long while since i've been to a Plaza rave. It was a good party i admit, but for some reason i didn't have as much fun as i originally thought i would of...I think i'm just spoiled.
Newayz tunez were good (i'm still trying to figure out this one song i heard >.< bev u know what i'm talking about!) Crowd didn't seem to be in the halloween spirit eh? I thought there'd be more people dressed up like it was last year. Kinda disappointing but for those who did, much respect hehe. It was great to see some people i haven't seen since the begining of summer or at Uh oh and was great to chill wits ya'll. I am disappointed at myself for not talking as much pictures as i usually do. I'm getting rusty o.O But the pix & vidz are online so check it out here: Imagestation Members Non-Members |

I'm going to take your word on that this was a good party.
I'm sure it was. I'm sure I would have enjoyed myself if I didn't: 1. Freeze my ass off due to bad trip. 2. Sober up and then was pissed 'cos of it. 3. GET IN A FIGHT W/ 'HARDCORE' ASAIN GUYS! 4. Clean up blood This was a waste of enegy and time. I think I'm doomed to never again enjoy a Spooky except from '98. 4 years down the drain. Bitter, who me>? Nah, I'm just thankful there's Seattle parties - with no 'hc' nammers. Yay for this friday. *nat* |
