ahh. poor sammy. i thought it was fuckin dope. the anticipation for breaks was very big, and when they finally came, boy were they good. anyone know the track name of this one breaks track they played that had a sample repeating "a lil bit of electrofunk" with a deep ass bassline??
The waldorf is a realllly nice venue. But, it was too small for an act like hybrid. It was way too hot in there. But whatever, it was a good night. Sorry you didn't have fun sammy. Work sucks ass BIGTIME right now :( |

I agree that the anticipation for breaks was pretty high... they didn't give much of what was expected until the last hour or so... but when they did holy shit did that place blow up....
That remix of Suzanne Vega 'Tom's Diner' fuckin owned the show and La La Land.... *drool* The crowd got pretty into it over the last half hour for sure too... "ONE MORE TRACK, ONE MORE TRACK!" The last half of the set saved the night for me.... thank god. |

Last night I heard some of the best prog. ever.
Being a die hard hybrid fan since finished symphony dropped about 5 years ago last night was not what I was expecting. The boys thumped me well, they thumped me well. It was such a good night. Even though the epic symphonic nuskool break that we all know and love was far and few between the ever changing prog. house. I heard a lot of whicked tracks and remixes for the first time last night and quite honestly I can't wait for there new album to come out and I can't wait to go record shopping and spend a fortune on some progressive sounds. Mike and Chris, thanks for inspiration yet again. My favorite show of the year....NO END TO THE LOW END!! LDUB ( bark ,bark , bark ) |

Good to hear the input, the show went off and man were they toight.
Their sound has evolved over the years since their last album. That yet to be released remix of Love In Traffic just shows the quality these boys put out. I heard their album- Morning Sci-fi, and dam! For sound, I really really don't know why people other then the crew start turning stuff up on the speakers... everything is set to optimal levels but someone turned them up twice over the night and made one over heat because of it. Thanks! Hybrid had an awesome time and thought it was their best gig of the tour. They are the coolest people met in ages and love BC |
