craze
Kind of a dissapointing turnout for one of the best djs in the world. I guess the junglist massive was on that camping trip.
The best tear scratches I've ever seen. Great drum n bass mixing, and he through in a track written by himself at the end. BIG dissapointment though was that he didnt have a turntablism showcase wtf? For 12 bux though i cant really complain. Quickest hands ive ever seen. Who's ready for a track next week? |

enough with the "junglist" already.... blam blam it all on junglist!?!
Besides Mark E G was just below the boarder and we practicly had him all to our selfs. Wish more turned out to that as well. I think part of it is the "vancouver scene" and advertising because i never had any idea craze was even here last night? WTF??? |

atleast 600 people showed up and that pretty good considering the size of our city and the fact that it was a jungle event held on a thursday night. im gonna have to blame it on the lack of marketing on behalf of the promotorers because i ehard that the last time craze showed up to sonar there was a lineup two blocks up the street to get in. also i didn't even hear about this night until a week ago. its not the scene's fault that the promoter dosn't know how to promote.... |

there were no flyers left in my shop until the day before the show... so go figure
Craze has always pulled big crowds in the past, there's no reason people shouldn't have gone if they knew about it. It definitely wasn't because of the outdoor party because there were only like 50 people at that... Could it be that people know what to expect when there's a headliner on Friday at Sonar? A short, early set, followed by the usual boring bullshit that Czech & Arkwell are forced to play for the suburban liquor pigs? hmmmmmm....... |

STARTING FRIDAY AUGUST 1ST, 2003, throw these comments out the window:
"I think I saw tumble weed go across the dancefloor once Craze got off.... poor Scotty (Vinyl Ritchie).... there was more people dancing to Czech upstairs then there was people downstairs.... this city is weird sometimes...." "Could it be that people know what to expect when there's a headliner on Friday at Sonar? A short, early set, followed by the usual boring bullshit that Czech & Arkwell are forced to play for the suburban liquor pigs? hmmmmmm......." "I think that's basically the case, that and Sonar's staff are usually rude. Oh and did I mention the sound is fucked."
