hyper!!!
that was definitely an interesting night on all accounts...
first off, i want to thank kim and sol for driving me down there. you rock. and winnie too for hooking us up when that fucking asshole of a security guard basically mugged sol out of his e. i was SO ready to punch that motherfucker. i'm never going to that venue again. props to dave for getting mark eg, precise, ill-esha and capital j. wow, i couldn't stop dancing (or going between rooms)!!! and that female violinist was the shit!! add ill-esha and mc emotionz to the mix, and that made for some BAD ASS jungle!!! i was disappointed with flave, however. his set was kind of boring, i thought. miska, i'm so glad we finally met and partied together. we talked about it for way too long and now it's been said and done. so with that, i'll see you all next week at POUND IT!!! |

dave and jaymz, you guys put on such a good show! its just really too bad that a lot seattle kids don't appreciate that kind of line up and talent as much as vancouverites. but we were all down there showing them whats up! thanks for the otter pops too.. i think i had like 45964 of them. mmmmmm to the raver that glitter bombed me :finger: im still picking purple glitter shit off my body. not fun. all i have to say is swimming after a rave is the best thing ever. and waffles. the waffles were dope. |

Am I the only one that thought the best part of the whole fucking nite was Zachariah and whoever the fuck that MC was at about 4am?
Dude, that was soo good. Even after coming down on my short and mellow seattle E did i dance my ass of to that guy. The whole party was pretty sweet, even though I spent most of it on a couch watching that video screen. The only thing that kind of brought me down was the severe lack of any real vibe (IMHO) at most stages for most of the nite. It was like the whole energy of the party only existed in one place at a time, and not for very long at all.. I was chasing it around all nite....like the floor would fill up when capital J went on, and then less than 10 minutes later there would be like 10 people dancing. I guess HYPER goes a long with short-attention-span, but it was kind of annoying. Ah, well...going to rhythmn nation and apex next....damn theres a lot of good parties to go to this summer. Man, I just wanted to say that this was such a sick ass party!!! Damn, every room was done pretty nice... Side rooms had speakers stacked up to the ceiling!! The djs throughout the whole night were all super dope rocking it better and better!
James, You sure did come through my man! You pulled off some real amazing shit that I never see any promoter do... For example, James had an envelope for every single dj at the party made up with a special "Thank you" card written up (in caligraphy!!), a dj pass and money all in it for when you get there... This was one of many fine details that he covered and he did a lot of em!!! MEGA PROPS! Its really a shame about the turn out, although there were still lots of peeps. I know if there ever was to be another AGRO party out there, it would no doubtedly get double the people! Good Job boys and see yall at RHYTHM NATION :c-tard: |
|

I loved the venue. The line up was sick!!!
I came all the way there to mainly see capital J, and I ended up in precise's set most of the time, I just couldn't leave, he just kept playing dope tracks, one after another! Had a good time with all you canadians that came down! We had fun! PS - that magician guy was amazing!!! WTF ERIN, that was freaky eh... |
|
|||
hahaha ryan, i'm amazed you remembered anything at all, you were SO drunk when i walked up to you!
michelle, you aren't the only one still picking off sparkles! and they didn't even throw them on me! :PartEkid: ill-esha, that was so dope when you had kytami and emotionz going off at the same time to that wicked jungle you were spinning...and of course your own singing was wicked too! i still wanted to hear more violin though, i couldn't hear it very well. |
|
|||
thanks guys, i had a good time, although dave, it would have been nice if i had had a place to sleep between the end of my set and when stacy drove back, the whole rest of my weekend was eaten up by feeling like shit =(
but thanks everyone, james and dave, on the whole it was great, i really enjoyed the crazy punk dude with the guitar, we could have started a band now please.. somebody must have taken at least one picture of us!! come on now!! |

Wow :c-tard: sick ass party.... it was sssssooooo much fun , just chilled and relaxed :smoke1: Dave is the shit if we only had promoters like him in the States it would be awesome..like Miska said alot of seattle kids didn't appreiciate this party but THEY SHOULD OF, THEY MISSED OUT ON ONE HELL OF A PARTY.
Dave- ur my hero. Miska- it was great to finally party with you, i'm going to miss rhythm nations, i have to work but i'll be there definetly for Apex.. B-Boys- dave the B-boys u had there..they were off the hook ...i chilled with them for a long time period that night and thye're so sick..... Canadians seriosly know how to get down.... so lets just say i move to canada and become one of the cooler party kids?? hahaha LOL peace out Lady Samantha :017: www.nwtekno.org |

just going to post same thing on NWT.
HYPER HYPER HYPER!!!!! First off - props to Dave and Jaymz - maaad props This was seriously one of the best parties I've been to. The venue, the vibe, the people, the music - pretty much anything you could ask for in a party - it was all wrapped up here in a ball called Hyper! It was great being in Seattle, but yet feeling so at home. It was great seeing all ya'll Canadian folk. It was a awesomet mixer. I think I grabbed on to Mark EG a little too many time tho.. hehe ... but hey, it was all worth it for a 5:30am Sunday morning phone call from him. I'll never forget this party - for those that missed out - daaaaymn! you MISSED OUT! Shouts to: Winnie: 'big' sis - much luv Dave: GODBRO! Ryan Valley: Daymn, you sure showed Seattle - PR PR Paulina, Jessica, Jesus, DJ Deeb, Precise, Capital J, Victor, Jaymz, Sandra, Michelle, Nya, Van peeps, ... .. ahh fuck..... too many to name - it was great seeing ALL of you! <3 Natasha aka baby nat vancouver.bc.ca |

I really want to thank everyone who came. Really. I enjoyed the fact that everyone really had and still have alot of nice things to say about it.
First tho, lemme rant a lil.. To the people who stole Mark's alcohol - FUCK YOU!!! Mark flew here from Leeds, UK. That's a long way to come to get disrespected. Next time you think of stealing, think of how you would feel if you got something jacked from you. Same thing to the poor, broke ass, sorry piece of shit that stole that bean bag. Dood! It's a bean bag!! I mean if you really needed a place to sit in your house or apartment, ask friends if they maybe have a spare couch or something for you. Hell I wouldv'e given you one. I have a spare one in my storage unit. It's better to be a begger than a thief. But enough ranting. My thanx: Without you this party would not have been. All DJ's and Performers - You are the reason everyone came. You are the reason why we have parties. I did not hear ONE person that did not enjoy themselves. And know this - It was because of you all. I owe you all for performing as well as you did and making eveyone there remember that nite. Mark and Stephanie - The outside area was off the hook because of you. Major props to Pussycat Productions!! This crew throws down like no other!! Dru - You are the man!! Not only did you play an amazing set, but you helped me make sure things were smooth. I am forever grateful. Mike S. - Next party, I am definately calling you. I only wish I could kick you down something for all the help you gave. Ben - You are now designated the offical driver of Jaymz!! You managed to drive countless miles and hours, and still help out during the party!! How the fuck did you manage that I have NO idea. Victor - A huge thanx to you. Your knowledge and before party help really showed. Without all those conversations, I think I wouldv'e been fucked come time of the party. RayOfSunshine - Thanx. I asked you soo last minute to take care of helping out on decorations, and how you got that place looking soo nice is beyond me. Everyone owes you a major thanx for making the place look so spectacular. Winie - Thanks for everything!! You helped sooo much it's incredible. (and if I forget to mention to everyone else that, no worries. You know that I'd never really forget you. ever. and my word is bond.) Nye - You are a lifesaver. Nobody and I mean nobody can be as pleasant, yet so firm at the door as yourself. If it wasn't for you I think everyone wouldv'e just walked right in, with no one to stop them. Michelle - Even tho you just stepped off the plane, you still managed to stay up and run water for the rest of the nite! Megs - Luv ya much! Thanx for all the running around and help you did so we could open on time! Yarah and Jason and Crew - I wish you couldv'e done better, but thanks for being there and doing all you guys could. Chef Odie and Crew - What would I have done without your excellent food. I was running around all nite, and your grub hit the spot. Matt O. - I thank you for what you did. You may not realize it, but major respect for that. It was unexpected and something that I really thank you for. Next time I throw a party, I think I'm talking to you first. And during and right before the doors open. Your expertise is invaluable. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST Sandra - you are the best a man can have. You stood by me the whole way, never doubting my judgements or decisions, even if you disagreed. You helped the whole day of the party, getting everything to the venue, setting up, tearing down. You helped knowing that you were missing out on having a blast dancing, just to be there for me. For that I am eternally grateful. Without you by my side, I really don't know what I would have done. I am forever yours!! I think that was everyone, but if I left someone out - sorry, I did try to remember everyone. So if I forgot you - THANK YOU SOOO MUCH __________________ Last edited by Jaymz; Jul 23, 03 at 10:27 PM. |

Fucking sweet party! Seattle needed this really bad. One thing that's different about Seattle than Vancouver is the education of party kids. Most Seattle kids don't give a crap who the DJ's are, as long as they have a good time. Vancouver kids however, are more knowledgeable about talent.
This can be good and bad... For instance, Seattle has a crew named Lovetribe that throws the baddest parties in Seattle. The vibe is always thick and the crowds are huge. Doesn't matter who the DJ's are for the most part. They packed 600+ into a club that's the biggest piece of shit, hole in the wall in Seattle. 300-400 capacity. Hot as fuck. And it still came away with great reviews. Then you take a sick party like Hyper with Mark EG and Capital J.. and you get zilch for a turnout. AGROculture did a great job of establishing a name for themselves. I guarantee if Seattle kids see AGRO next to another party there... the turnout will be much different. Anyway, I had a great time.. and I can't even wait for Rhythm Nation on Saturday. Much love from your friends in the States, Jesse |
